Finally a wall that actually is cool!
fire wall =/
bone wall =/
zombie wall
in the gameplay video didnt he say :"youve all seen walls of fire ice and bone, but have you ever seen a wall of zombies?" or something like that? ..i dunno if i remember ice wall..
At least the zombie wall can be explained, unlike the floating red orbs.
Actually, you could explain the latter as absorbing some sort of life force from the fallen enemies.
For the zombies, I refer you to a post earlier in this thread--to be able to summon a line of zombies anywhere, you'd basically need a layer OF zombies to be in the ground everywhere you are, lol. Then there are questions about being able to summon them if you're standing on stone or other hard materials you wouldn't expect decaying flesh to be able to puncture.
I definitely think summoning a wall of zombies at will wherever you want requires more suspension of disbelief.

Well here is how I look at it...The witch doctor doesn't need materials...so in essence he doesn't need an actual wall of zombies...just like he doesn't need a swarm of locust to actually cast the spell....if you looked at everything the way you do with the witch doctor then how can anything make sense in Diablo to you? lol.......example druid is walking around encounters a group of lets say fallen....tries to cast hurricane....oh shoot! well wtf! i can't cast, the winds are not Strong enough....so take everything with a little more imagination and then it might make sense : )

Yea I thought the same thing when he said that; but I just assumed he meant something like glacial spike freezing some mobs and the others walk around.
Seconded, I'd shit my pants and roll a witch doctor.
I'm sure the zombie wall will be underpowered though. It does seem very cool, but theres no way that one wall tears up all the enemies such as in the video.
I expect it to be a minor damage wall used to keep enemies away as you deal additional damage with other spells.

When I think of a 'zombie prison', I think more of arms tearing out of the ground, groaning torsos of the damned clawing and tearing at their victim, ripping at every bit of soft flesh, disembowling it as teeth dig in, intestines and blood gushing across the ground as that poor bastard screams his last screams as his spine is bisected before his upper torso sinks into the scrabbling abyss of festering undeath and unquenchable cannibalistic hunger.

So maybe like zombie wall but combined with the spread effect of locust where the zombies consume and grow either larger or larger in number consuming near by enemies and eventually decaying when there is nothing to eat.

I think it should be more like a 'tangle' spell that does some relatively fierce damage and can be slashed(or 'flashed') through. Not saying it would work in the game, though.

So you can kill the zombies?
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
I do apologize
xD
That would kick so much ass.
