I have too much will to be addicted to anything to the extent that it would jeopardize something I didn't yet jeopardize, but I do read this website a lot, but I did so way before DIII was announced...
Now repeat after me
I AM ADDICT
I'm admitting it to myself so that I could get treatment asap and have a good healthy life.
First step is to admit it to yourself, now come the hard part

Oh god. My addiction. Well, I would assume I won't be getting more than 2 hours of sleep for the first 6 months. It'll be just like when I was at the Air Force Academy. When KOTOR 2 came out I bought a connector so I could play my XBox through my computer screen, even though it was illegal.
I kept the XBox in my desk drawer with the screen turned as far away from the door as I could, so in case an Officer or Senior walked by I could quickly hit the "switch" button to go back to the normal computer scren.
If that was how I was with a game as underdeveloped (but yet so good) as KOTOR 2, I can only imagine how I will be with DIII. I will probably lose 10lbs from not eating or sleeping.
As for my DII addiction and playing habits when it first came out. Needless to say, I blocked that from my memory.
I've lost 10 years to D2. Maybe 5 or 6 consistently but in between those I've played off and on. Hard to think I started playing when I was 9..
I lost 2-3 years to WoW. Then I realized its all the same. All the new content. Once I came to that realization I quit WoW cold turkey.
Same here, I was on the brink of quitting wow, until my account got hacked, and I just stopped cold. Its been over a year since I played it, and more then 4 years on D2.
The only reason i still play wow every now and then is because my warlocks PvP gear makes him look sick... if i was any other class i wouldnt look as good and wouldnt care as much about playing.
It is now over a year before this game even comes out and i am sitting here at the end of my workday reminiscing on the last 8 hours of my life. Inbetween doing work and scratching my balls (you guys know what i mean), all i have been doing is refreshing these forums and looking up any new info i can get on this game.. A YEAR IN ADVANCE..
What im really trying to say is.. if im already this addicted (oh, and i have a good and eventful life, its not even that i have nothign better to do)... how the hell am I gonna be when this game actually comes out?
anyone feeling the same?
I feel your pain my friend.

This will be just like when i waited for Mgs4, pre-order 2 months early, wait untill release day, get pissed because it didn't arrive yet, then when it has arrived 4 days later, play it all day.
Great fun, eyh.
this is my most anticipated game. actually many of my friends are very excited for this game, blizzard is prolly going thru alot of stress and pressure.
I am 16 with a part-time job and I used to be a gamer.
When d3 gets released, I am going to get fired and prolly fail some courses.

Hey, sacrifices have to be made
Luckily I'll be graduating college December, well before (most likely) D3 launches, so I won't fail out. But, I'll be working full-time when it does launch, so hopefully I won't lose my job.

Sentence of the year:
"WoW, It's like a disease"
I'll go into rehab after I get my D3 fix.

And then I bought myself a bike. Now I don't even have WoW installed on my PC
