One of the biggest reasons why i enjoyed D2 so much was its ease of use on almost any computer. So many other games make it impossible to do much else or just run boggy. I mean i would really enjoy to have a game like D3 on my laptop (it doesn't have the best graphics card in the world). I have a decent computer and im sure i wont have any problems but i just pray it doesn't ask for to much. Cause really i have no complaint with D2's graphics are crazy as that is to say, i love them i think they worked perfect. Also im sorry if this isn't the correct area for a thread of this nature.
So lets hear some comments, im sure im not the only one.
YES I AM A COMPLETE RETARD, I SWEAR I WASN'T IN THE CLASSES DISCUSSION WHEN I POSTED THIS VERY SORRY CAN THIS PLEASE BE MOVED!!!!!!!!!!
If you have a reasonable graphics card, I'd say first and foremost to make sure you have a decent amount of RAM.
I love my 4gigs of RAM, even though stupid Vista eats up a lot.
I'd switch back to XP if I could find an ethernet adapter for it or XP drivers for mine... I'll have to look into it, but I'm sure other hardware problems will arise.

"The gaming public now has focus on Diablo again, and with it comes the modern-age of trolling and jackassery."
I think its pretty safe to say that the system requirements won't be impossible but will reach the most amount of computers in the market. This is of course based off of their past games and a quote from Blizzard themselves.

i have 2 gbs of ram, when my pc is just sitting there is only uses about 30% of it, so that would be nothing with 4gb's:offtopic:
Blizzard always makes games that are easily played by the majority of it's consumers. If they made top-notch games then they would end up selling a lot less because no one's computer could run it. WoW, for example, is one of the world's top games because soooo many people are able to play it. Trust me, D3 wont be a problem at all, especially as the hardware industry gets better and better.
It probably wont be able to be ran on a onboard graphics card. And the CPU would probably require a Athlon, or P4. None of that celeron crap. And probably the most of 512mb for ram. If my laptop can run this, ill be amazed. Because my laptop sucks big balls.

You could get Linux, but problem with that is it'll probably take somebody half a year to get D3 to run well on WINE or whatever.
I think my laptop will be pretty set for D3, except for GPU... I got the GPU 'cause it was an Nvidia that wasn't too expensive, and I figured Nvidia = good for gaming, but apparently the one I got is more focused on business or some shit... =( So I might have to send my laptop to Toshiba and get 'em to upgrade it.
What happened to the other thread on system specs?

Ranger - Ranged Weapon Mastery (fire a bow or javelins like a machine gun!), Traps (MK style!), Pets (lions, tigers, and bears oh my!) - physical damage based
Demonologist - Bone Spells (Necro style!), Avatar (shapeshift into a demon!), Furies (evil spirits that hang around you, giving party bonuses) - mix of physical damage and magic
LEAP ATTACK!!!!! PLAGUE OF TOADS!!!!!
SLOW TIME!!!!!
If you have dual core processor 2.1G up, 2 Gigs of ram, decent 3D graphic card and enough hard drive space you will probably doing fine to run Diablo 3 smoothly.
Probably the only lag contributor is the Havoc physic, lightning/shadow and the environment animation.

No problem.
Anyway, I'm going to build a PC in late August, so that should be fun.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Renewed artistic direction for Diablo 3 Petition 40,000 and counting.
I like to keep all sorts of things running like Winamp etc and play the game hopefully. Vista still makes me sick.
