i say no to that... im not sure why but i just think that it would have a bad affect on the game
It would have to remain something small, like an added bonus for it to be fun in my opinion. If it became the main focus, or even a main focus then it could be detrimental for D3. It should be something you just kinda get while you do what you want to, and maybe after a while you get a title as a result. But certainly not something that forces everyone to grind for days on end to be able to compete.
I'm all for it. Maybe even get some kind of bonus for reaching certain numbers.

Give, expecting nothing thereof. ------------ BoD - Come have some fun! Folks will always come and go, so enjoy them while they're meant to be in your life.
Maybe something like after killing so many of them, you can then learn to build using their body parts.
Like after killing 1k skeles, you can build a little skele shrine. Just a little something cool looking. Or maybe a mini-pet that will follow you around.
So you'd hate having to feel the dreaded emotion of accomplishment? Hmph. Never thought I'd see such a comment..
It isn't that, its that I just don't care.
I agree with the idea of mob knowledge coming over time after killing so many. I don't agree with the kill counter because I don't want every game I go in becoming "hey gais how manys kills do you has i has dis manys!!!!!1!"
Simply because it only means you've played that character longer than anyone else has played theirs.
I wouldn't mind seeing an achievement list implemented like the xbox360 has on games. For example kill boss X on hell in under 30 seconds. It adds to the game because you're not just playing the game, you're trying to do something.
Although on a diablo game an achievement such as the above would only mean someone would quickly figure out the fastest and easiest method and tell everyone. So I guess its pointless.

Blah? You really are contradicting yourself. You think you won't hear the same "hey gais how many achievements do you has i has dis manys !!!!!1!"?

Think about it.
Yea except that from an achievements standpoint its set up on xbox so that if someone wants to see what achievements you have; they can. Whereas if someone wanted to know how many kills you have, they'd have to ask. And just that fact that no one else will know unless you say something will promote mindless spamming of OMG 29405228498

After 1000 kills you get to understand what they are saying

You never got anything for it, but it was always cool to check and compare.
It's time to welcome the other 80% of the color wheel to a Diablo game.

No buffs.
Just the feeling of owning 100 baddies is enough.
