Hi. Regardless of all the speculation rampaging the net about the 'artistic direction' Blizzard has taken with D3, it still remains, what I'd like to believe, the most highly anticipated PC game of all time. Now, not that the viewpoints of either party are incredulous or fickle, those for, and those against the artwork, each side has conjured awesome ideas in the direction Blizzard has taken with D3 and have been battling it out for a week already, leaving many as to wonder about the future of the artwork, and Blizzard's standpoint regarding both petitions (if deniable) posted on the web.
Through all this, one question remains, wether the graphics and 'artistic direction' change or not, will you: STILL BUY DIABLO III?
I don't hate the new art direction, but I'm not completely happy with it either.
I imagine I'll buy it and, like every other game I own, completely stop paying attention to how the graphics look after a few hours and just focus on how strong the gameplay holds up.
I will play this game regardless of how blizzard decides to go with the graphics, a lot of us grew up with D1 and D2 and i think most of us will buy it no matter what happens.
i voted yes
but if they make a major change like battle net monthly fee requirement, im probably going to get a pirate version to play the sp, and i HATE having to do this (note games here are 100+)
Who the hell would say no to this? This is a useless poll
with all thats been said by the various ppl against and for, i just thought it would be interesting to find out who is so negative about the artwork that they actually wont buy it. On the other hand, its a way to see who are the more positive ppl out there. On the third hand the guys waiting on the sides can vote on the third option.
Bad poll: I'm not going to buy D3 because I've been waiting 8 years, I'm going to probably buy it because it looks like it's going to kick ass.

We all know that everyone that's going to say no, will buy it anyway...we all will...this is diablo_fans not diablo_ehm....people..that...don't like it...or something.com. yeah im gonna buy it =)
I will probably buy it no matter what. Bad reviews, monthly Fee or what ever... I´m gonna have to try it out. And I´m also 99% sure it will be a winner.
I'll most likely buy it for the multiplayer experience, so until more is known about that I'm undecided.

"The comet carries a dark omen in its fiery being and it calls the heroes of Sanctuary To defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells – And even the failing luminaries of the High Heavens itself."
if you dont want to buy the game soley on graphical reasons your just a whiny picky prick.
if youre such a hardcore fan youd stick with it no matter what as long as the storyline makes since in the diablo universe and its fun
Cartoony, but I'll still play it.
I won't buy it, but I'll probably borrow it for a few days for SP.

"[Diablo1+2] obviously had the gothic look to it, but, you they weren't, they weren't very uh, very colorful games."
"We want to take dark as an emotion, rather than an actual color art choice." -Rob Pardo
"Why the hell shouldn't it be for 'kiddies', it's a goddamn game afterall." -lethlan
The artstyle is fine. There just needs to be some minor adjustments like a LOT more shadows and maybe a tweak on the look of the over-exaggerated weapons. Besides that it's not nearly as horrible as everyone else is whining about.
That said, I'll buy this and SC2 and hopefully a new laptop by year's end so I can actually run them properly =S

In the end, game play is much more important than graphics.
