I think he sneaks into your storage chest whenever you aren't in town and concocts some death defying brew in the horadric cube. He knows even more about that thing than he lets on
Cain isn't senile?
This guy is always getting into trouble... by wanting more.. input. >.>

Sure Cain sounds like Sean Connery (AKA James Bond, the biggest studmeister out there), but man, he is old! And clearly pre occupied with tomes and wallowing about how he didn't stop the wanderer when he could, and did I mention he was old?
My friend asked me a few days ago if Sean Connery played his voice. lol

Watching 240 guys talk trash about cavaliers is like two retards having a slapfight over a sippy cup.
Wow, I totally missunderstood you in the Barbarian thread. That's going to make my response to you sound a bit wierd. I didn't know that you actually believes that the Barbarian in D3 is the same person as in D2.
I believe it because blizzard said so. From a completely lor or storybased perspective (not skills) it is very logical. And possible since they said they brought him back. But mechanically, it makes sense they brought back the barbarian architype. Lorewise will make for a more interesting story I think. I love story, and I love the barb.
Blizzard were fairly true to their nature and made a vague statement that can be taken up for interpretation. And neither is wrong until expressly proven otherwise.
But we are drifting off topic. back to cain.
Yeh he would be 80-90 in D3.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Not really. But 80 would make him 100 in Diablo 3. Is it possible, yes. There are probably potions and elixirs that could prolong his life.
But to me 100 in D3 seems to old. Considering how in d1/d2 he isn't shaking, and in d3 he is.
If Cain was 70 when D2 came out (which co-incidently is the same age as Sean Connery was in 2000 (Sean Connery turn 78 this August, Go Sean Connery)) then Cain would be 90 in d3.
Not that Sean Connery had any bearing on Cain, that I am aware of.

Regardless of his age, he's going to die soon, apparently. Every one at D3 team is hinting at it...
which sort of makes me sad 'cause I wuv my Deckard Cain... <3

Blizzard is not responsible for the death and loss of your hardcore characters for any reason including Internet lag, bugs, Acts of God, your little sister, or any other reason whatsoever. Consult the End User License Agreement for more details. Blizzard will not, and does not have the capability to restore any deceased Hardcore characters. Don't even ask. La-la-la-la-la, we can't hear you..,
Cain is an old man in diablo. id say 60-70. and diablo 2 takes place just about right after diablo 1 ends so not much aging there. but then 20 years after diablo 2, he's still around and not senile! (from what ive seen)
dont get me wrong i like the consistancy of deckard Cain through all three games, im just trying to figure out how old this dude is!
But just because Cain is a mortal. Doesn't mean he's necessarily human. It's not planet Earth. It's planet Sanctuary. There's no certainty of what the average lifespan of a person on Sanctuary is. And he actually doesn't look too old in D2. Maybe 60ish.
Not at the remake, but how is cain like that robot.
He iszh clearly like Sean Chonnarreh, the acchent izsh unmishtakable.
That is an attempt to write how the accent sounds.
The only black person in diablo is the paladin
Correction the only black guy in Diablo is the sorcerer.
There are several black people in Diablo II. Cain, Ormus, Hfratli, Alkor, The Iron Wolves, The Paladin.

Nor was he white in Diablo II, the scene when you finish a difficulty and he gives you your new title, you can see he is not white. I wouldn't call him black, but he isn't white.

I think there's a great deal of confusion here. While not pale, he is clearly white.
He looks heavily suntanned, if anything. He's not any darker than my own father at range.
Brown would be a slightly better term.
He is not black like what one would normally associate with black, say african tribeman, no far from it, he has more of a middle eastern persian look, more like Xerxes in 300 than say Balthazar in Scorpion King.
Cain bears several resemblences to the Sorcerer from Diablo 1. Notably his tanned skin tone in later games (he was clearly anglosized in D1) and his somewhat scottish voice. The sorcerer in d1, is a Vizjerei sorcerer (Horadrim were an alliance of mage clans including the Vizjerei). the Vizjerei are a eastern clan, eastern in the sense them come from Kurast and Kehjistan. A place were most of it's people also have the same skin tone as cain does (now).

Cain convinced the hobbits at the edge of Mount Doom to not throw the ring into its fire, but rather hand it to him in return for a guarantee that the Hobbits would safely journey back to the Shire, and have cups of steaming hot tea waiting for them.
And, as was the case with Gollum, the ring is providing Cain with unusually long life.

LOL because the female barbarian is the barbarian's daughter, by the looks of it..:D
Lawls... greens imbued with Rubys using the heradric cube.

Siaynoq's Playthroughs
Wow. Just wow. lol
Umm.. Cain kinda reminds me of the robot from Short Circuit, but with his voice being that of Sean Connery instead of Tim Blaney.
btw that reminds me.

They're remaking Short Circuit. lol
