If in the Diablo world people can reload a bow in .2 seconds then why can't someone reload a handcannon faster than normal also?
Do you even know how to reload a handcannon?
You realize that you cant just pour in some random amount of gunpowder, deftly shove a metal ball in, stick a wick back into the rear of the gun, and then lite it, aim and try to be ready for the discharge all in a matter of the scant moments needed for action RPG gameplay?
First off, you have to put in THE RIGHT amount of gunpowder or you'll end up blowing the gun up in your hands. Second you have to pack down the gunpowder so there are no loose pockets in the barrel. Next you have to take a metal ball and pack it into the gun. Might I add, these metal balls aren't perfectly round so they have to be inserted with a special stopper to help propel the ball. Next you have to again pack the ball down. Now you light the wick and try to aim it as best you can and brace yourself for a very powerful concussive blast. After all this effort, you can only hope that you just hit something important.
Oh ya, I failed to mention. A wonderful by-product of firing an early-era handcannon was they produced MASSIVE mounts of white smoke so basically, you fire once, and you can't see anything unless there is a mighty breeze that comes by and removes your nice smoke screen.
Now, repeat that process again, as fast as you can. Even if you were magically enhanced, it goes beyond the realm of possibility and into the realm of "Comeon...there's got to be a better way to kill someone than this..." Hell, if the guy can move THAT fast to make the gun effective, it would be best to just take a flippin' dagger and run that fast and just stab everyone in the neck. It would save a lot of grief...
I think that you guys are kind of missing the point with the comparisons of crossbows and bows to guns.
First off, it's true that bows are very agile weapons, but it must be said, that a crossbow can be shot as fast as a rifle, on average it takes 20 seconds to reload a crossbow, a speed shooter with a musket can get off 4 to 6 shots in a minute.
The firing rates are virtually the same except that a normal musket firing would be more like 2 shots a minute casually, where as in a battle field your shot count a minute fluxuates because you can both panic or go very fast.
The Gun could play right into the game but 3 seconds versus the 2 second fire rate of the Crossbow.
You can put magical icons on the bullets to give them certain properties, so it's pretty much capable of being in play.
And I suppose that this is COMPLETELY realistic, right? Oh yea. Completely realistic. *Eye roll.*
Suspension of disbelief.
I know that bows in the proper hand can fire very fast, depending on draw weight and bow size.
I know it's impossible to fire arrows once per .2 seconds in different directions.
However, I do suspend my disbelief because a magically imbued warrioress imbued with the strength of her gods could likely be capable of performing such a feet.
On the other hand, while I'm sure someone could have a way to reload a rifle of that age incredibly fast I cannot believe that without serious magical help they would be able to hit anything.
Yea, figured that you couldn't give a goddamned straight answer.
Either that or you think that that strafeazon is realistic. (By the way, strafe is a skill she learned, not a skill granted by her deities like multishot.)

When you hold a bow, its possible to fire 2 or 3 arrows at the same time, based on your hand positioning and skill. you put 3 balls down a hand cannon, and its going to blow your arm off.

If you get personally attacked by letters through the internet its a good thing to always have a box of tissues and a band-aid around.

That would work except A) that how Multishot would work, but Multishot is magical, from the devine and Strafe is firing volleys of arrows, not lots of arrows at once.
Now scoot along and let the smart people talk Shell.

Awww, where'd your pirates of the caribbean argument go? I liked that one!
I did too. I hope he says it again, I wanna see Siaynoq ban him...

I love the way people conveniently say that a "good archer can fire an arrow in 2-3 seconds" or whatever, and then neglect to mention to reloading time of a crossbow which is more comparable to a gun than a regular bow.
It is also neglecting taking the arrows out of the quiver, which takes time if you have three hundred fifty arrows in the goddamned quiver...

As for firing 2-3 arrows at once, thats not strafe, or proper multishot since multishot SPLITS the arrow. Arguing that these are "realistic" while a hand cannon isn't? Way to show your intelligence, or lack thereof.
Gimme a ranged class from that Asian style island up north:
Use of Hand Cannnons, Bows, Crossbows etc with some other themed adds, yeah, fun!
So you admitting that you can actually fire 3 arrows at the same time with a bow, rather than doing it with a hand cannon, glad we cleared that up. Thanks.

Multishot = 25 arrows from 1 ARROW magically split. Not some geezer who puts 2 or 3 arrows on his bow fires them and shouts YAR MULTISHOT!
? fire, put another arrow back on it and pull the string back, fire again. How is that any different than firing a bow if your fast enough?
Wait, I guess i need to open a pouch, take a round ball out, leave that in my hand, then open a gun powder bag, put exactly the right amount in the hand cannon nozzle, because if its to much it will explode, and if its too less it will jam. Then pack it down with a wooden pole that You have to get out also, Then put the ball in thats in your hand then fire and most likely miss by 4 to 7 feet because of how unaccurate they are in the first place. Then you have to do that all over again while demons are coming at you and are likely to rip you apart.
Ah i see, Makes perfect sense now.

Lol, yes, because the massive draw force of a crossbow means you can reload it in half a second...
You do realise it would take like 20 seconds to reload a crossbow from the "time period" that Diablo is set in...right?
No, it does not take 20 seconds. Have you actually fired a crossbow from that time period or are you just saying that for some unknown reason to argue even more after looking stupid. There are 2 different kinds.
Shelled, you're now on my ignore list, so replying to any of my posts is just a waste of time for you, as responding to your posts has been a waste of my time since you don't listen to reason.
Hahaha, so your going to ignore me now after I utterly destroy your pathetic Argument. Real mature friend.
Actually, you set it down and pull it back or turn the crank, that takes some time. That's why crossbows were frowned upon by generals of armies in favor of the faster firing bow.
Twenty to thirty seconds is pushing it, and you would have to be really skilled to get that off. Kinda like the five seconds to load and firing a normal bow if your really really skilled. But this is the world of Diablo, with "Hollywood History".

um lol, there are cranks and none-cranks. Or are you that demented to actually only talk about the cranked ones instead of the ones that you just pull back.
How about you pick up the textbook?

You've managed to post THAT big of a wall of text but it's still nothing new or anything we don't know.
Yes I know it takes a specific amount of powder to successfully fire a cannon. Too much and it will explode.
That was one of my arguments on about page... 23? Somewhere around the beginning.
I also talked about how it would take years to manage to scale the cannon to a hand sized one.
And I suppose that this is COMPLETELY realistic, right? Oh yea. Completely realistic. *Eye roll.*

Oh yea, plenty of sense. Plenty of sense.
If you bothered to read my post I said I could believe someone had the magical prowess to load a gun exceptionally fast.
But if they wanted to hit with the same frequency as a bow, they would need a Guided Bullet spell firing all the time.
Your dexterity and hand-eye coordination don't mean anything when a small round ball can hit the wind wrong and go flying 4 feet off target.

Strafe=non-magical. Strafe=skill. Strafe=non-deity-related.

Actually, 21 arrows. But your point remains.
If I was using a hand cannon, then I would pray. I would be dead anyway because it would take me 1 minute or more to reload it anyway. Case closed.

One you have to cork it to get a powerful shot, the other just takes strength to pull it back.
All it takes is strength. And this is the universe of diablo. What is your point .
Hahaha, so your going to ignore me now after I utterly destroy your pathetic Argument. Real mature friend.
