I wouldnt buy the game if this was the case. One of the main reasons I didnt like WOW.
I was blown away to such a gaming invention as BoE or BoP when I tried WoW for a few weeks.
I would get items that people wanted but I couldn't give to them and only could sell it.
"This is ridiculous... wow.... just... wow..."
I love the cooperation in games when a bow is dropped and the bow-user gets it even though someone else found it or clicked really quickly after the boss died.

im sry i completely disagree with the bind to equipt idea... i HATE that feature in guild wars... trade away all my items and currency so i can get an item that i might not care about in the future but uh... im stuck with it and worthless??? no wayy that is horrible... everything should be able to be traded if u get sick of a char or dont want that item anymore no matter what it is...
yes the economy got shot in diablo 2 but its not because of being able to trade high end weapons its because in pervious patches duping and bots became a huge issue.... in WoW and GW there are godly items as well... but thier economy is just fine... why? because its not possible to cheat... u wont be able to get mules and mules full of windforces, SoJs, and HRs without a lot of hard work, MFing and trading skills... if there was no duping ever in d2... there wouldve been A LOT less sojs and HRs available and thier value wouldnt have went to crap
duping is like counterfitting real money in diablo

So you want the realms swarmed with people who only wear purchased items? Okay.... Have a nice time with another potentially great Diablo game but without any economy. That's not something I will fall for again. What's the point to farm for items day and night when somebody can pay a few bucks and get perfect godly gear in 15 minutes. There's nothing that makes you different from those noobs when you play with them.
Binding is stupid, especially in a game focused on loot as much as Diablo series.

Agreed! It makes it more of a challenge to find "perfs" and not every1 will have one. at least Not until after a yr or so passes or never. But it'll also improve the economics. I agree that the economic is HORRIBLE. Duped soj and high runes. disgusting... Im always too poor when i start out to get anything "high end"
also another note... BOP ... unconventional but i guess it could apply to some items?
