Bind on pick up and Bind on equip? Keep playing World of Warcraft you can't handle diablo. I have 4 70's and full tier6 on my shaman and BOP&BOE would ruin diablo 3.
Guess what you enjoy playing a witch doctor and equip some uber soj and shield, but 3 months later you decide I want to play a sorceress instead your equipment is bound to you so you can't trade or reuse it. Stupid idea only works in MMO's because otherwise people would sell/trade geear from RAID instances and it would totally ruin the point of raiding.
Anyone who agrees with BOP or BOE is stupid beyond words. Imagine sojs being bind on equip that wouldn't make gold currency you retards, instead it would make uber items in diablo 3 impossible for anyone to get you idiots. There was weapons, boots and rings with stats that are so rare it took 3 years for them to drop and there was only ever ONE with similar stats to drop.
Do you idiots honestly think you would ever see godly items like that? Why should it be bound to a single character??? Anyone who wants BOE and BOP are scrubs and never had godly gear in diablo 2. Sorry you reject unique gear wasn't godly unless it was bugged which none of you would know about. Dupes, godly items and the diablo 3 economy doesn't involve a scrube like you, so go worry about things you can warp your little mind around.
uhh diablo 3 is to use the bartering system, there is the reason why there is no economy in diablo, stop trying to make games like wow, and gtfo and go play wow!

Elaborate please, give me solid counter reasons against BOE being implemented in diablo 3 not broken abuse lines calling someone a "scrube". It's been stated many times BOP will 'not' work in this game for an array of reasons we pretty much all agree, but your ignorance is funny. Diablo did have an economy... of ITEMS, soj's are the economy. They are still going to be as well with BOE just try look at it from a perspective 'other' than wow the system didn't start with wow and it certainly won't end with it. If you want to change characters, you can trade your UNUSED rares for those items. Just because something has dropped once doesn't mean 5 characters should get to use it. BOE items did actually drop from the world bosses but you'd know this right with being in t6? (which isn't hard btw, be in 8 pieces and I might be slightly impressed but not entirely) boe items dropped from regular mobs as special items.. Your points are only valid against bop, so yeah please continue on.
Feel free to elaborate and expand or maybe you can be the one gtfo the forums as you so kindly put it until you come back with something constructive?
Generally speaking I would not like to see BoE or BoP implemented. Note that I said generally... I would agree that some kind of economical control device should be put in place, but I don't think that is necissarely the answer. With all the talk in this thread about what made d2 d2, I will throw in my 2 cents as it pertains to my post.
Having been in end game raiding guilds in everquest and also been an avid d2 player, what made d2 the online game that It was, had to do with its relatively short level periods, the ability to have multiple high level characters, trading the gear that you amass on all of your characters amongst each other and your friends. Building multie formats of the same character and seeing which one worked best for a specific application. If d3 is going to be a gme in which I have to focus solely on one character, and have to physically find end game items I want and then am unable to give that item to another of my chars after I'm done with it... I will be very disappointed.
That is my opinion. I will play the game no matter what. But I hope players are able to maintain a real life and still be able to excel at gameplay.

You could spend an account full mules with sojs, dupes and other awesome legit rare items for boots, rings, amulets, weapons and armor with near perfect stats you idiots. Some items only ever dropped ONCE in the 10 years diablo has been out, and many can't drop anymore due to changes with item stats from patch to patch. So why should a super fucking rare item from 1.6 patch with perfect stats worth more real money than you make a month be bound to a single character which people would remake all the time?!?

All your points against a bind system here is solely against BOP, I'm just curious as to where boe would really stop you doing everything you'd said in there.
I never claimed I didn't play WoW and so I don't see why you would tell me not to lie? LoL. Second grade level reading comprehension "FTW."
Did I say there was anything wrong with trading items for items? No. In fact, I even said this would be prevalent in Diablo 3, even with the BoE and BoP systems.
This is what happens when people who do not know how to read try to argue. This skew the facts of the other side of argument and make up outlandish claims.
By the way, quests were used in WoW so... Oh my God! It shouldn't be in Diablo 3! No wait, your argument will be that there was quests in Diablo 1 so your claim is a "OMG IT WAS THERE FIRST SO THEY GET TO USE IT AGAIN SO HAH!"
But then again, many people on this forum want a re-spec system and hmm, I wonder where that stemmed from?
im high lol, also your an idiot my friend dude respecs are in other games b esides WoW what the effff are you talkena bout? you just cant implement that kinda game style on Diablo its unqiue its nothing like a MMO there is no raid in diablo 2 you could solo all the bosses on hell dif i mean come on man you couldnt solo illidan by your self now couldya? so yea........
All your points against a bind system here is solely against BOP, I'm just curious as to where boe would really stop you doing everything you'd said in there.
MY point is against BIND ON EQUIP items. Any UBER item would be BIND ON EQUIP otherwise there would be NO point for the system and my POINT is that there are items that are so rare they were worth more money than you make a in MONTH during 1.8 and 1.9.
Why the fuck would I want a item like that bound to a single character when there isn't class shit like in World of Warcraft there is BOOTS which necromancers, sorceress, amazons and even barbarians could use your eyes would never even seen.
You have no idea how diablo 2 works at ALL. You keep going on about sojs which were worth less than GOLD to people who knew how to play diablo 2. I already said this before you'll NEVER be godly at diablo 3. You'll never see truely rare items, so why even worry about it? You think kiddy shit like sojs matter when you couldn't even trade an account full of them for godly items.
You could spend an account full mules with sojs, dupes and other awesome legit rare items for boots, rings, amulets, weapons and armor with near perfect stats you idiots. If it's so rare and if boe was in the game, would you put it on a character you simply plan on remaking? I can answer that for you, no. People simply wouldn't put it on a character they don't feel like continuing, so one item that drops ONCE every 10 years is the defining point on why a boe system is flawed? right okay one item out of how many? The thing is you can STILL trade full mules for insanely rare loot your really not doing a lot of absorbing of what I'm writing to you about this are you?
Now you know about my personal life, well sorry I have a job I don't need to make money off games I use in my spare time to have fun with. Fail Troll is Fail.
All your points against a bind system here is solely against BOP, I'm just curious as to where boe would really stop you doing everything you'd said in there.
That's because he's nothing but a tool, he probably didn't even read any of our BoE suggestions.

I only just came to thread about 1-2 pages ago, but that seems to be consensus at these forums you either agree or you get abused. Regardless of how much logic and thought you put into your posts. Shame really, but at least we know theres some people who might reply without abusing our personal lives

Fail troll is fail? sorry you're the only fail around here. You probably never saw kil'jaeden in world of warcraft, you never saw a perfect item in diablo 2. You probably never even hit level 99 let alone had more then 1 soj.
A patch comes and makes the build or class you're playing worthless that's a pretty good reason.
Diablo 2 was all about getting awesome items you've never even had awesome gear, you wouldn't understand why you'd want to be able to trade items between your characters because you never had anything worth a shit.
I think BoE would be great, since it would prevent from switching around items and making any char you want (since you could trade anything)
But notice how people are agaisnt, and notice how people are agaisnt any suggestion that makes the game harder? Its pathetic. You might as well ask Blizzard to place an endgame button right on the opening screen "Click this button to get lvl 99 instantly" ... *sigh*
Im all for ideas that make Diablo harder, tougher, and in need of more dedication.. Oh and dont scream "thats cuz you dont have a life" at me, cuz that has nothing to do with it...Lets just face the simple truth here: 90% of this forum would get "pwned" if they played Diablo 1 right now without dupes, thats a fact. I say, bring it back, thats what Diablo needs.
100% agreed. I would love a really really hard Diablo3 game.

Because seeing kiljaeden is totally relevant to having a bind system in diablo 3? Right? I haven't actually faught him no, because I was smart enough to quit wow quite a while ago, well before sunwell got implemented actually because farming Illidan was boring.
I played diablo 1 online for a long time, played hellfire, played the crap out of diablo2 and lords of destruction have I played the 'entire' 7 years? no but I did put quite a lot of time into when I was playing for about 3 years. I had plently of level 99's and played the trade game more than I'd like to admit for that.
Diablo 2 is all about the items you get, yes your correct but your logic still isn't quite formulating a solid defence to prove your point. Your actually proving my point for me thankfully. I have no qualms in trading extra gear to get items for another character or do some mfing for something to trade, infact I think that is all I really did while I was playing actually. A patch might come AND guess what the patch after that might change the character again and you go back to playing it.
BoE would totally destroy the replayability of the game... i mean come on, having great items ready for you new character once your old character used them was one of the best parts of Diablo.
Like you found a Peasant (Unique War Hat) in D2 for your Sorceress, you used it until you were lucky to find an upgrade, a Harlequin Crest (Unique Shako). Now if BoE was implemented that Peasant would go to waste since its binded to that character, which is BAD...i'll say that again... B A D!!!
One of the bullet points at the WWI was the replayability aspect of D3, any type of BoP or BoE system would easily destroy this. Man we already get our seperate loot from monsters now...
For my opinion I think they need to implement something like that to stop Ninja looting and excessive trading...
However I'm sure Blizz already have an idea about that...
So basically you're suggesting Blizzard to kill D3, right?
I've only read op(now i did :P), not sure if this alredy being discussed, but.... you're forgetting one major point, the only reason d2 economy was flooded with Wf, GF, and shit was because of dupes!!!
Do you know how hard a WF drop is??? i did more than 15000 pindle runs(not proud of it) with over 700mf and the best i could get was a bunch of rare hydras, D2 economy was entirely based on dupes(duh) unless the same happen in D3 you dont have to worry... the flux of high end item will not be like D2.
And if the worst happen... BoE WILL NOT PREVENT D3 ECONOMY TO BE RUINED, people will never equip it, will mass dupe it and will trade them. Back to D2.
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.

NO TO BoP or BoE!!!
It's not BAD, it's good for the economy, that ITEM leaves D3 - it's your fault for equipping the item, you knew the consequences.

What point? There isn't a point... It wouldn't help the economy and it wouldn't stop people from duping. The SOJ is rare and BOE guess what? I have 200 of them duped with your system the only thing that happens is people will pay more for these items via paypal... I don't think you understand the diablo 2 community when it comes to hacks and selling items on ebay/paypal.
So you trade everything of value you have for an item and equip it all of it's value it gone because now you can't trade it? Great point sir. Now we can go grind some more right instead of enjoying the game and having *Freedom* which you don't have with a BOE system. Why do you want items out of the economy??? Do you think it'll benefit you somehow? The only person it would help is the people with a private dupe who sell stuff for money LOL.

Ninja looting? From what I've been reading, loot is character specific.
Indeed they've already fixed the problem of 8 man baal kill, *person using autopickup bot wins all the loot*
everyone see's their own individual loot in a group. You can't ninja what doesn't drop for you
