I guess this thread is to really tell the devs, if they are silly enough to look here at these forums for reference of making their great game that not everyone is a hater of what they've seen so far. I'm just kind of tired of all the abuse that the people defending how terrible d3 looks over their precious d2.
I really loved d1, d2 for all it's worth but I'm really glad they've brang the franchise back at all, with all these ungrateful people abusing them and telling others to fuck off and die for not agreeing with them also.
I really enjoy the way the artwork has headed, especially with the comment about the darkness being portrayed through the emotion of the characters. It'll definatly make for an immersive game and show people that to have a dark atmosphere you don't needed a grey pallete to work off.
So if your enjoying what you've seen and your happy what that they have finally decided to announce it. Post here, for every hater I'm sure theres people who enjoy what they've seen like myself.
I really like the way the artwork has headed, I don't believe it's like wow. Colour doesn't mean it's wow it means you have a more living breathing enviroment to play in and makes it a lot more immersive. 20 years after the three primal evils have been killed and what not, will definatly lighten the mood of the game in some area's and I really loved that outside look that was presented in the second half of the footage. It's been a long time since I've seen isometric graphics done so great.
I might miss the necro a little bit, but I think his WD counterpart will fill all that he has left to fill and more. He definatly has a fresh approach on pets which to me is a good thing, I played too many necro's on bnet! Now I have another summoning class I can enjoy equally if not more by the initial looks of things
And if your going to come here and tell us you have the right to your opinion about D3 being so terrible / not what you personaly wanted. Don't because, you can have your opinion and we can have ours.

Agree one hundred percent
now watch some idiot come in here and post a de saturated image saying how this is how diablo 3 should look.:(
I think the saturation of the colours, especially in that dungeon, can be toned down a bit. I didn't like the graphics for the first 5 seconds of the gameplay trailer. I was really enjoying it after I got over the initial shock and can't wait to get more information about Diablo III. Too many people are judging this game based on speculations. Nothing has been revealed really, so there is nothing much to judge. Wait some time until things are sorted out.
I'm glad theres actually people out there who like it, I just really hope they don't revise the looks but if they do what they did for sc2, I mean look at those early shots compared to the current released screen shots now it looks like an entirely different style game. I'm not adversed to different looks if they decide to go down that route but I do enjoy the current iteration of them. Starcraft 2 tells me they will change a lot in the coming weeks/months. Can't wait to see the next build.

who called it!?!? hahaha, god you guys are so predictable. If only he had posted a picture
I think it looks good. I don't want it made darker with less color. What we have seen is the beginning of the game, and like the other Diablo games, I'm sure the game will become much darker (as a feel) as the game goes on.

for fucks sake. Did you not see that I LIKED THE GRAPHICS. I had one damn sentence about how the graphics IN THE DUNGEON should be darker and there you go being a fucking moron.
While I have my qualms I am very impressed with what has been done. The most underappreciated thing about this game is the introduction of PHYSICS. Did anyone pay attention to the bodies flying around the screen, rolling off the edges, sliding down slopes and transforming into bouncing bit of gore?
The new gameplay looks teriffic. It looks to be fast-paced and more varied than past titles. This is a welcome change as watching the paladin do a zeal attack for 2 hours was rather unsatisfying after a few years.
Point and click interface maintained, it did not morph into a wow skillbar click frenzy, the majority of your clicking is still on your opponent(s).
Dynamic terrain and more complicated traps add more depth to the game than ever before, while some agree that the art style is less dark, one can not argue that the gameplay has followed the same route. It is darker than ever. The gore is magnified and the pure horror of some of the monsters is well done.
Hack and slash maintained, it is you vs the world as it should be, which in my opinion was the greatest appeal of the past diablo games.
Skills look magnificent, the fire blast on the Witch doctor has a soul erupting out of it as it explodes, very well done. The locusts leave only bones as they devour their victims and the minions exploding is very satisfying.
Overall I am very excited about this game, but I feel it is my duty to say that the visual feel in some areas was my only concern. And before flaming me about this, look at the many positives I gave before the negative. I don't hate this game, I love it.
I like it a lot, especially watching the high resolution gameplay video.. I still think the Barb was walking VERY slow when he was killing those specter looking things by that trap chest.
But I like what they did with the lighting and stuff.. I think it should stay like that, maybe get a bit darker and shit but other than that it looks great. I love the effects the barbarian has, looks so fun to play.
One thing they could improve on is the physics engine, when the Witchdoctor kills his first victims on that slope with the locust spell, the bodies slid down the slope, which doesn't look very realistic.

As the shadow once again crawls across our world...
...the stench of terror drifts on a bitter wind,
The people pray for strength and guidance ..
they should pray for the mercy of a swift death
for I have seen what the darkness hides.
Diablo 3 looks great i can only hope it plays great and at the end of the day...
after waiting this long for a sequel Blizzard could chop a piece of roadkill into CD shaped pieces, wrap in saran wrap and spray paint "DEEAHBLUE THUREee!111!2oneonetwo" on it and i'd still try to play it.

By the way, Diablo 2 wasn't that dark to begin with.

Agreed, I'm looking forward to hear more about this game as it develops.
