My guess would be christmas 2009. I don't think they can make the June 29, 2009 release so Christmas sounds better. Wish they had more than 5 classes though. And I can't wait for more information on how the gameplay will work.
We have no idea how far along this game is, but I'm willing to bet it's 60% complete if not more. I give them 1 year for this, 6 months for StarCraft 2.

Thats probably true, but the problem with starcraft 2 isn't really the content, its the balancing of the game with its races, thats what will be taken all the time.
Blizzard has an almost anal approach to polishing there games as we all know.
And for all we know they could have 10 classes already, they're hardly going to spill everything on it's first showing.
I'm not sure about that large a number of classes. They've already stated that main part will be to greatly differentiate the classes. To me it sounds like 5 or six classes with A LOT of different skills, perks etc.
As to when Diablo 3 will finally arrive, I think that if their developing teams (not knowing if they work on several projects) aren't overly distracted by their work on Starcraft 2, D3 might be reality as soon as end of this year. It seemed from the presentation that they had a lot already made.
Unless of course that was the only thing they have completed *shrugs from thought*.
Anyway, let them take as long as it needs be for making D3 as good as they can make it. Good move from them by the way- with the diablo games slowly slipping from memory- they've assured people that it will come eventually, and thus they saved themselves in marketing department. Although now they can develop D3 for a very long time. Eeehhh, anyway good thing to finally have something real to hang onto, not just waiting for Diablo 3 in the dark.

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
Epic quotes... all of them

For whatever reason Gamestop has a Starcraft 2 release date of 12/3/08 which fits into your theory about it.

I would guess December of next year...... Waiting sucks!
no no, not at all, it makes even more sense that hell would come lose on the day that the world celebrates the birth of Jesus
there is still hope for tomorrow you know.
