I would definitely have to say its the same problem i got in d2 you get to a point where you hit a wall in progression. You get to a point where everything kills you quickly and you can't kill anything. I can't progress because i can't find the gear to help me progress. i just get stuck... then lose interest. I"m not asking for super easy, just result from hard work; i could live with inch by inch as long i get some kind of result.
I am just scared i will get bored of my characters, in Diablo II if i got bored, just wait for the next ladder and start over with everyone else, now if i get capped on my characters what will be left? Will they patch it? I dont know and it is the only thing that scares me atm
I'm worried they'll try to WoW-ise it too much. Catering to casuals over dedicated players, increasing level cap instead of just releasing better items (when LoD came out they just included the better expansion items and buffed Nightmare and Hell), nerfing stuff because "it's too hard," etc.
It's actually really simple for me... DUPES! If the security is not tight enough on b.net 2.0 and dupes become a regular occurrence it will be devastating. Let's not kid ourselves, D2 got really awful with dupes and hacks very quickly and there is a way larger risk this time around with the rmah.
I have a bunch of fears for Diablo 3. Some have been listed, like running out of things to do (but I might go to hardcore, because I doubt I'd ever get to 60 on hardcore, meaning I'd never run out of something to do). I've also become jaded with pc video games, because they always end up using the same mechanics and all end up merging to one. W is just X with Y but a different Z. I also hope I didn't overhype Diablo 3. I've been waiting for this game for years, and I would hate for DIII to not live up to the expectations. I refuse to look at beta playthroughs, because I want the game to be fresh in my mind, so that actually may make it easier to ruin my expectations. I always read the patch notes and whatnot here, though, so I don't know what will happen. I also hope group play doesn't become mandatory, like every other online game (cough WoW cough). I also hope that Diablo III isn't too easy, because that just means I get done with the content quicker. I'd prefer too hard, so long as it is still possible. I've said I also hope a lot, but I'm too tired to put a variety of words in this. I also hope my friends enjoy it as much as I do, because I don't know how long I would play without them. But, I am not worried about the duping and hacking. Sure. It will happen. It always does. But that's what Warden is for. Duping was very common in D2, but then again the security was a lot worse. With millions of people using the same auction house, the profits from farmers/dupers will be a lot lower than they would be in a game like WoW, where only thousands of people use an auction house. TL;DR, I hope Diablo 3 stays Diablo 3 and not WoW or Maple Story 2.

When I grow up, I want to be a frill-necked lizard.
That even though a million players are online, you still feel like playing in a barren wasteland. Because the maximum other players you can interract with is 3.

The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn’t...
I"m mostly worried that the game wont function properly. Either, there will be some sort of bug, the servers wont work, or the game systems won't mesh well together. I know everyone keeps harping on graphics saying they are too cartoony. But what people don't realize is comparing D2 (which was in 2d) and D3 (which is in 3d) is comparing apples to oranges. D2 was very cartoony but they couldn't render that much detail. With D3 they can and thus more of the look is shown. Personally I think the graphics look great and I hope everything goes off without a hitch at 3AM on May 15th.
That my secret hole in Blizzard's basement is found out, and I can't steal their internet to play their game.

There will be bery little time to game from now on, have to set my priorities right
try to rock both the babie and your wife to sleep so you can play in peace :Thumbs Up:
That Inferno isnt as hard as its supposed to be. So many things rely on Inferno being so hard only 5-10% of people can succeed in it.
1. If its really hard, even if there are bots, they will have a MUCH harder time actually killing anything without dying.
2. If its really hard Teleport can only be used as an escape rather than a means to to move from point to point faster, because you are liable to get 1 shotted.
etc etc. Seems like many of the features that they have implemented I have felt that if Inferno is as hard as its supposed to be, that will work out well. If not, it will be a disaster.

My biggest fear is that I plan to play with weedjj.
But I do have to completely agree, It seems the game is being built around Inferno being very difficult. My hope is that even once people start to attain full end game sets that inferno stays very difficult, if not im sure bots will once again rule diablo. If even in full end game gear there is a decent chance you will die from blinding running into a group of mobs and spamming whatever combo of skill choice is max dmg, without accessing the affixes of the mobs first, bots will become extremely common again. Im also hoping the class balance is much better. If no one class/build is OP (ie hammerdins), it should lessen the chance of bots. To put it plainly......i hope they find a way to keep bots out of the game.
