Too late? Nah. They changed the Siege Tank for SC2, and the Marine. Nothing is final yet you know. If we're vocal enough and generate enough numbers they'll listen.
Not at all, the feeling hasn't faded away I'm still VERY HAPPY!! And i will be, no matter if they change anything or not. BUT is it bad that we want the game nicer and more Diablo like? Yes, you are obviously right, but do you expect the texture will be different in different places? Maybe brightness etc. will be different, but i DON'T like textures like they are. And i don't think they will change, no matter where you will be.
As sb pointed out. The modeling of armour sucks.. Do you like it? Me not. It's TOO BIG!! The armour will be bigger than a character, i'm begging you..
I have to admit...it is like WoW...but at the same time, it does look more realistic. and No, I don't like the armors...hopefully it'll be fine tuned. Don't worry, it won't be hitting the shelves anytime soon.
Blizzard usually does what the fans want.. so if the responce of the "color" is too demanding to darken it.. they will before release, no worries here!

We're trying to balance satisfying the fans and also creating a game that feels like our own.
A large number of the ex-art team currently work at Hellgate, hence the change in style. Even still, it's barely a change from the original Diablo. It's exactly how I would imagine a modernised 3D Diablo update.
I'm sorry but some of those 'graphical touch-ups' in the OP are simplyl awful. They've stripped all the life out of the pictures and made them look quite frankly boring. You honestly think just making everything grey is a decent solution?
How exactly would you want character models to look like? Right now they don't look like WoW models. Honestly, people saying that should play some more games OR simpyl replay Diablo 2 and imagine exactly what the small blocky characters would look like larger, in 3D.
The current character models look exactly how they would look if you gave the original D2 models more detail and enlarged them.
I was blown away by the graphical style shown in the trailer, and i'm amazed by the fact people want to piss all over it and turn it all grey. Just wow.
Agreed. They're using color to move the game along, and attract the eye which is good. Greyness just kind of shits on the atmosphere no offense. Some parts should be a bit darker, but not all of it.
1. The only reason people voted for 3 is because either 1. their WoW fanboys that never played Diablo 1 and 2 and should GTFO or 2. They are just people that have never truley that had a taste for the diablo feel and just want the game rushed out and retail as soon as possible ;P.
Either way they need to drastically change the look but how could we draw blizzards attention to this.
Saying something as generalising as that is staggeringly ignorant.
The only thing that has been changed in the OP pictures is an overlayed 'grey'. If you want to play like that, turn the brightness down on game release, turn the lights off in your room and potentially suffer eye strain when you can't see what the fuck is going on.
The way it is now, everything that's happening on the screen is crystal clear. The combat animations/mob attacks are well defined and it won't just be a mess of animation/spell effects.
Are you claiming 'the Diablo feel' is nothing more than making everything grey? I'm thankful Blizzard don't have people like you on their design team.
uhh shutup.. you obviously have no idea what you're talking about

The feeling about dark should come from artwork not light bulb hehe...

The trailer? The trailer looks awesome! And seriously turning it grey is not the best solution as you proposed. Someone posted DoW II pics here a while ago. That's the right way.
Dudes... chill the fuck out. Blizz just announced the game... They're probably taking a look in some of these forums now for the feedback so far, and they have so much time to improve it up to our expectations.
i agree with what it should look like, it looks more like Diablo 1 with 2 but with more advanced graphics ya know. Those screen shots of in game as of now remind me of a WOW sort of look but i am still glade they left the view as a Diablo 1 and 2 view. get at me

You really should just leave.
"A real world map."
The world is FANTASY, moron. It's not based on our world, it's based off of an imaginary world.
So, by your thought, I'm guessing we should just go ahead and say the Barbarian is Russian, and the Witchdoctor is African.
Hell, maybe Australia and Canada will have a cool class ... I wonder what class will hail from the United States?
