1) Rush and fight elites mostly. Do not waste time on trash; almost all my T10 builds rely on In-Geom as it allows for amazing synergies, so always on the lookout for the next elite.
2) Sometimes. I tried to run with Harrington's but it's too annoying to keep it up. That being said, on some maps I open more (especially Battlefields - need those white mats, usually go back to town mid-rift). I try to open chests, but don't go out of my way for it; again, you risk losing In-Geom.
3) Try to pick up most stuff, so that by the end of the rift I have a full inventory. All DBs, all legendaries, all mats, most blues/whites. Less crazy about dem yellows (yes, you need a lot of yellows, but they fill your inventory so quickly; it might be better to focus on blues+whites and convert mats later on as one yellow item = one mat really fills the inventory too quickly).
4) I don't go out of my way for it, but usually yes. The goal of T10 is to get a GR key asap, it's not like GRs where picking up globes might result in less XP per hour or anything like that.
5) Definitely absolutely close after the RG. One in a hundred rifts - Power/Conduit on Desolate Sands - maybe I stay for a few seconds after... but usually it's just kill+out.
like the guy above me its all about material farming speed. I kill just champions or elite packs, open all chests and kill any goblins I might see. I pick up a a mostly full inventory of blues and yellows for mats after each run. Close immediately after rg to speed up key farming process
3) Pick up non legendary stuff like mats, salvage fodder
4) Pick up orange progress orbs from elite packs
5) Close the rift immediately after guarding or go til the end
1) Mostly.. Playing DH Unholy Multishot Build... whites dying left and right anyway
2) 95%... Jumping trough the map,, i will open them, when i see them
3) Most Mats i try to "snap away" by jumping trough... but the rest will be lost
4) ever! With 20 meter range on pick up..
5) 95% With a great map with much Packs.. i will shortly play this map to the end.
Well, there are several reasons why you do a TX rift, obviously for the keystone, crafting mats (including DB) and now also for gold. So depending on my farming class my behaviour changes.
I use my multishot DH mainly for gold and mats farming. It's the fastest build I am aware of to farm low-health trash far beyond the display range, creating insane amounts of gold explosions from boon. It's not as strong versus elite/boss packs as other builds/classes, and you cannot use the sage set. So when playing in a group I usually concentrate on killing white trash, and leave the elites to others in the group. I take all the time to open chests and collect all kinds of material, even porting back to town.
My sage/TR wizzard plays completely different. As it relies on ingeom, I just go from elite to elite. If trash is in the way it gets melted, but I won't really start chasing even large groups of trash. So I just collect DBs and legendaries if they are close. I usually won't even go collecting legs that someone got from a chest or killing mobs that are not in the direction I am going. So it's just about DBs and riftstones.
No matter what I play, I will try to collect the progress orbs. But I won't go back if I notice I forgot it.
I will also be the first to TP and close the rift when it's done. Exception might be if the rift is a high density map like cemetary, but I won't complain if someone else closes the rift.
