I would guess it only triggers attacks like that when the next attack would kill you anyways...then it is more spectacular, but ultimately the same end result.
Perhaps those triggers will be removed in HC.
Perhaps HC will just be that much more difficult.
I did notice, however, that it did not at any point in the gameplay video look as thought he barbarian were meant to simply sit down by a monster and "slug it out." He was constantly moving, jumping in and out, and, aside from when he wanted to get hurt to show off the cool boss fatality, he almost never stayed in straight combat. I am guessing that they do not want hardly any characters doing that in D3, as they are trying to make it so you actually have to PLAY and THINK a little bit. I liked the look of that.
Keep it, and I have never even played hardcore. I love the game too much to know that at any given moment, my internet may go out, or B.net may crash and my hours of work and effort go to waste in a blink of an eye...
