Fair enought, otherwise we could easy get lvl50 gems to get full ancient and then get lvl70 gems or something. I will go for lvl60 gems i guess... just to be able to do gr70.
From what i've gathered in PTR you'll do about 10 to 15 gr's higher than you did last season (for some classes) so 60 will be as easy as a 50 and 70 will be around 60.

They made solo a lot easier to keep it in line with 2/3/4 player groups, so ur be doing little higher again by maybe 5 GR levels. So I would say the normal for people will be GR 75/80. That is if u fully deck ur gear out that is, because I know people that cry looking for ancients is too hard.
My general strategy from PTR is to level gems up to 50ish (which is fairly easy if you play somewhat consistently), enchant your ancients to boost your GR potential, then level them up again to 70ish and boost your gear again. I was soloing up to grift 75 with paragon 825ish pretty easily and I'm certainly not a pro player by any stretch of the imagination.
Back to the original question, yes you can use it on every slot, but as mentioned previously, each item type has minimum gem level requirement and they have to be ancient. If you are having problems finding ancients, you can grind out regular rifts and bounties to get crafting mats and try your luck crafting. You can also try re-rolling legendaries with the cube, but that is very expensive and extremely RNG. I've had items that I re-rolled ancient with one attempt and some that I re-rolled 30+ times and never got an ancient version.
If you didn't try the PTR, I think you are really going to enjoy 2.4. Try out some LoN gear combos once you get ancients, there's some really fun builds out there. Good luck in season 5!

Didint test it, how it works? It like gives you 5 main stats per level so lvl50 adds 250? Can i use it on every gear slot?
Ok ty : )

Yes it is. But it'll overwrite the old gem, not stack with it.
So if you add a level 50 gem, then a level 70 gem, you'll have a level 70 enchant, not a level 120.
So gr60 and even 70 should be easy now? : )
And you need a minimum 30lvl gem for a weapon, a 40lvl gem for a ring/amulet and a 50lvl gem for an armor item!
That's pretty much it! But for more detail you can check this guide here!
