That is a wicked idea but lots of ass hats would do it when your dueling
\
Haha who cares about the ass hats, just have a friend come in the game with a better character and co-op attack them back!! Man I have been thinking about so many different kind of co op attacks, haha.

You forgot to list the choosing sides, some people want that, I think it might be fun to be evil too.
Hm the only other thing I can think of is being able to actually create clans, with special board rights and what not, not just have a group of friends put something infront of their names...and a better dueling system? Personally I hate being rapped by a guy 50 levels higher than me just becasue he's a bitch, but sometimes when I'm bored or someone talks shit I do it too : (

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
yes quite, as far as i know no legitimate employee of blizzard entertainment has been to this site, but several blizzard employees have seen the list, granted it was an older version.
i split the master list up into areas so it is easier to manage, if i thinks of an idea i can just put it in the right area instead of just taking it on the end, and making a long list of good ideas but with no real structure and order to them.
it also makes it easy to add in new areas.

I've slightly mentioned this idea before but the concept of levels doesn't necessarily need to be used in Diablo III.
They could make a new system where you gradually get stronger over time, depending on the types of spells and skills you are using. More melee attacks means you will gain strength faster, and casting spells will cause energy to increase faster. Perhaps the more monsters you kill, or the amount of usage from a skill you are using can gradually make the skill stronger.
Here's what I mean:
Say you kill 100 monsters with a level 1 Fire Ball. The skill level of the Fire Ball increases to 2 and it makes the damage increase. As the Fire Ball kills more and more, it gradually gets stronger by adding "splash" damage and it starts synergizing with other skills that are used often, adding some unique bonuses to the Fire Ball.
Once you get stronger, you'll learn stronger spells, and as you focus more heavily on those skills, your other less-used skills will start becoming less effective and weaker. Here's an example:
You find a Flamestrike spellpage and add it to your tome. You find the skill does a lot more nifty things than the Fire Ball, and you focus more of your time on it. As you kill more monsters and Flamestrike becomes more powerful, the skill points from Fire Ball start diminishing and adding to Flamestrike, sort of a way to indicate that your character is forgetting that skill.
There would need to be a "skill level point cap" or something administered to keep things under control so that characters couldn't max everything and become super godly.
hmm a good idea, but i think blizzard will probably stick with game mechanics that are similar to the previous games

Wow that was a lot...Well my opinion for the graphics they should do a runescape type graphics im not saying the graphics itself but have it so you can either play an over veiw 2d type game or just use the arrow keys to get it 3d.. i think that might be pretty cool. and i also of course would like to see the graphics of diablo 3 more updated and i do like the idea of Heaven and Hell concept.. that might be pretty cool.... but i would not like this game to be an mmorpg just maybe hold more people in one game like maybe like 40 around that number...and do not make us pay for this.... if they made me pay monthly i wouldnt even touch this!(never even touched WoW becaus of this). I would like to see maybe more character customization like differnt hair styles and like differnt base clothing. If i see some of these changes i would be more than happy to pick up D3
New character classes would be awsome...especailly if you could choose the sex. Some new equiptment would be nice. For dueling...PvP, they could do it like Guild wars.....so you dont lose your shit and you know the risk going into the arena
AcidReign that was a really thought out system you got there. The only problem is, THAT'S NOT DIABLO. I told yall that you guys are comp genius's when it comes to making a game, or putting together one that will really blow everyones mind. The only problem is, this game is in a league of it's own. It does not do stuff like elderscrolls. It does not do stuff like D and D. It does not do stuff like Devil may cry, or bloodrayne, or WOW. It does stuff like Diablo. Keep it original and that is when the money will start flowing through
It was a really good thought though, but it is from another game, and that just isn't diablo's style at all

All power resides in the mind, let it be unleashed, to those unsure let it overwhelm and eventually, destroy
I think the one great thing that they could do, I think elfen said this, was to go and have specific clans. To make it more interesting, and make people more involoved. Certain clans should have certain powers. NOt something HUGE, but just like one clan would be (Crappy name i know) Barb clan. They have over 50 members and now their appointed leader gets to choose if being in the clan would bring the whole clan, +1 to strength, or + 1 to a certain skill.
With this of course you would only be able to be in one clan at a time, and they wouldn't have anything major going around like one clan has +10 to all skills or some shit like that. What yall think????

i agree with slipknot, there should be many side quests that are very difficult, possibly allowing only the person trying to accomplishing it to attempt it. this way no one else can help and people cant rush their own characters such as on two computers in order to get the best items or skills in the game.
if i can possibly say this (i dont want to offend anyone) diablo 3 should be more like Final Fantasy 7. it allows you to pick what you want to do such as gain certain items that you do not really need.
For example, there are two bosses in the game that are extremely powerful. however you do not need to fight them or kill them. these monsters are the ruby and emerald (i think) weapons. i have beaten the game without fighting these. however if you do you gain items that have alot of power.
side quests are an awesome idea. make it like Titan Quest where you have to explore the maps to find those quests, and the more you explore the more there is to encounter.
same goes for towns. like in Titan Quest you can find small shops or towns along your path with npc's. basically Titan Quest is like diablo 3 in a ancient greek setting.

more bigger and harder side quests, male and female characters of the same class, guilds, bigger world, its all in the master list
i will be reposting the master list hopefully some time today, when i think of some more things to add to it.

As I mentioned before, they could have a night and day system that could effect how quests are completed. An example would be defending a village/outpost until dawn, when the forces of Hell are less effective. Or another one could be waiting til an approximate time of day to open a seal on a door or something.
A nice difference is given different story line choices. Say what would happen if u sided with hell and helped conquer the world or a choice in a part of the story that would later affect the outcome, different endings etc. Just thought it would be a point of difference as opposed to a linear story line.
They need to add many more crisp and definate sounds to the game. I would love to hear solid sword hits and maul smashes, as well as fireballs hitting enemies and stuff.
That would be sweet but i just have a feeling it would cause way to much lag really cause when there is a fire sorcs they go mad crazy with those fireballs they dont stop shooting ..and if you have a summon necro or druid
all the mosters hitting each other that already cause mega lag with extra sound well i think you get what i mean
