When I was playing Diablo LoD today, I thought of something pretty neat. I think the times of day should have a larger affect on the world around your character. Rather than just the times of day having a nice effect on the landscape. I think things that can happen and your character could do like quests during night only and stuff. Like different events that could take place only during one time of day or new challanges that are open. This idea has endless possibilites.

like u could go into a shaman camp and they would be sleeping. and if a guard spots u and sounds an alarm they all wake up and attack you. night only quests would be interesting, especially if they were assasination style quests.
Nice thinking penguin. I have an idea, during certain times of the day passages will open to secrets or a new village or something. Or at night trees can attack you in the forests so you have to be quiet.

alot of games have time affected scenarios and settings. why not the next diablo. the game was good the way it was, but this would be one of the greatest improvements for it. it would make it more fun than ever.
think of a diablo mmorpg. a diablo world of heros and stuff. it would be too much like wow, but it woulda been cool
and who says everything must nessesarily attack you? their could be neutral creatures that if prevoked, would attack. but u cant make d3 strictly hack and slash or else the game would be repetitive, the hack and slash genre is very tricky. i love champions of norrath, but it gets boring, no matter what act im in its just kill, take money, do quests.
they need to keep d3 to its roots, but improve the fighting system a bit, and also change some things as well as add quite a few new features.
Night would probably weaken the archers because they couldnt see as well in night unless they use a skill to see or pick up a torch. Fire arrows would look wicked at night ^^.

Sounds good to me. What if the you could also choose to be evil or good and depending on which time of the day your damage,vitality,dex or any other stat/skill that you may have would become weaker/stronger. Lets say you are a necro and your a good necro then during the day your stats/skills would increase (although you still are a necro and you perform the dark arts) and during the night decrease (because you have choosen to be good). But if your a evil necro then your dmg would decrease during the day and increase at night.
Also what would make the game even more unique is that certain monsters would only come out at night or day. The items would be the same for example some items would only drop from monsters during the night. Or some quest could only be done during day. Now if your a good necro and you wanna do a certain quest that can only be done at night then it would be very hard for you and at later difficulties maybe even impossible. Same if your a evil necro and you wanna do certain quests that can be done only during the day. You would most likely need help from other players since you have choosen the dark side and your not as powerful during the day.
This kinda works like immunitys in d2. Where lets a pure blizzard sorc cannot kill every monster in hell because there are so many cold immune monsters.
I think i'm getting a little carried away lol. My ideas are horrible :(.
i have a good idea... in diablo 1 if u sumon a golem they dont folow you they go anywere they want. in diablo 2 they folow u. they should make a option for yous sumons to be able to both folow or seek distruction individualy.

monsters u only see at night, such as spirits, unless of course in hell.
kirby should make a cameo though.

Paladins
Amazon
Sorceress
And strengthen;
Assassin
Necromancer
Druid
(Amazon and Sorceress could go both ways).
