Any1 else feels the same? I've gone through 100 stones trying to push 62, came close 2 times. Bad bosses... . But seriously does the density get nerfed above 60 or what? It's such a rnfingee fishing for them pylons n density layout and guardian it's mind boggling. Wth was blizzard thinking? 60 and 61 was a joke but 62 is like impossible unless it's just bad rng! Like its cave lvls dead ends shit mobs n bad guardians. Last 5 grifts not even 1 pylon lol and I got to the stone. Sick of bad rng. Yet when I drop down to 60 boom 3 pylons back to back mobs just throw themselves at ya...
Depends on your class, build, etc. Some builds are way fishier than others and generally speaking, if you're having a bad streak - just do something else and come back another night.
I sometimes get back to back horrible rifts and after 3-4 I just log off and come back another day, usually to find a different RNG layout. It happens. It's a RNG game.

If you are playing DH UE, yes you have to fish insanely. I am not sure what class is playing Op but yea i honestly agree and that's why i don't do grifts anymore.
Fishing is not my thing, totally boring and frustrating because how rng and inbalanced the system is. As my experience to get my 60 rift i had to fish at least 89 keys, and i really thought it was impossible task, but was mostly because i got around 90% of rifts with poor density, no pylons or terrible RG's, one i got the ideal one, i beat it even before countdown started.
Is not a system that encourage you to continue and keep you trying, majority of times you are actually failing because RNG not because you are doing something wrong or there is something to improve at all.
Though to be perfectly honest, 62 shouldn't be a level where you have to fish like crazy.
These absolute figures are not helpful, it's all relative. Depending on character strength, there's a gr lvl of X, which is doable no matter what and a level Y, that is doable under perfect circumstances. To me, the issue is, that for many classes/builds the gap between these two is too large. Grifts need to be more balanced. They already made some efforts towards that end by removing all the cool maps (like cemetary) from the gr-pool and giving max 1 conduit, but the variance is still too big. Though, I can see them making more improvements in that regard. It's only 4 seasons so far and they can't change the rules mid-season.
Anyways... I snagged a 62 on my ik/wastes barb and it was easy... lol

Also can you guys look at that ik/wastes barb and let me know any improvements? Im thinking ancient lacuni and attack speed on gloves and another ancent ikbb with attack speed instead of vita? Thats all i can thunk of to boost dmg!

Monk in sig - can farm easily 50 and 55 can be a pain but i actually didn't try it much, though i think it's doable.
The point is that i have both low paragon and gems, so no need to push for higher GR until i can basically roll over them with more farming. Brute force approach > fishing (at these levels ofc; once reached the highest ones farming becomes senseless).

Blizzard need to address the issue with the fishing because it has become really annoying and boring.
Its not rng when you looking for 2 or 3 of a certain type of "harmless" melee stupid mobs and a rift layout that usually is act4 spire or act1 cathedral. Its called bad game mechanics.
Its like "hey bliz, ima gonna skip all the retarded jumping flying and farting mobs you put in the game to piss us off for variety so me find the joy zombie rift".
Jokes aside if its not bad game mechanics then the only reason that you do that 1 in 100 gr70 and you feel like a god then you get raped in gr50 like you were running naked is to stop people from progressing.
I see 3 possible solutions : either normalize dmg and hp of all mobs, present better/mixed mob overlay in rift or at least double the amount of xp given of all the annoying worthless mobs.
There's another solution, maybe more close to what blizzard is thinking /doing : new season/xpasion, new uber bane gem /sets, maybe new amulets that give another uber power/passive and then you have it, gr80 on farm people complain about fishing for 100 and the circle continues..
I think it would b cool of there was like 6 different grifs with the same layout and mobs and you could rank according on how fast you clear each or rank per each grift. That way there is no RNG just skill. Also no fuckin pylons. On a side note blizz should really get rid off the furnace its just a fucken stupid weapon... mandatory for higher lvls, bad design. That way we could have more diversity, even thou there would always be a bis, it would still be fun to actually rank with something other than a farkenfurnace...

Although I do agree that time spent in this game should be a huge factor. I don't think that it should be as based on entering a rift and seeing, in about 10 seconds, that its not going to work and leaving.
Blizzard does know that the mobs and tile set is a HUGE factor in GR pushing, they have tried to fix it. but still there are some mobs that have to low of time impact or are just way to tough to kill.
the request i would make isn't to lessen the importance of time spent, but to move it from leaving and joining, to trying to push higher till its gear/skill and not mapset that stop you.

Atm the current meta is this. And i agree with your that this sucks - the ladder challenge is overshadowed by the fact people bot/speedfarm paragon so they get inane levels and bruteforce the rifts up to high levels (which is now like 75+, and as i've seen draqhue and friends speedfarm 77).
This is a very core issue of the game right now. And easy/fast solution would be capping paragon for the seasons to 800 (arbitrary number) so both speedfarming and botting would lose a LOT of relevance, making the challenge much better.
However there will still be balance issues between classes (which need to be solved) and between rift composition since there will always be an optimal monster combo where you can kill them relatively fast and get decent progress. The fact people is skipping elites when some affixes pop explains a lot of the current state.
Lastly, it all depends on you if you want the challenge or to be efficient. Unfortunately these two options are mutually exclusive.
P.S: about my monk, i'm just trying to finish the seaosn journey. Since i have to do 3 conquests (did the GR40 without sets already) the "easier" to do are 6 gems to 50 and solo GR60. The fact is that in the time i have farmed to do the gems one, i will have enough paragon levels to try GR60 solo.

See the problem is that no matter what they do,people would compain. If they made it to where every rift was "perfect" everyone would be doing the same exact rift over and over. That sounds horrible personally.This is the way i see it. The only reason fishing exists is because some morons insits on exceeding their realistic capabilities, get bored with the method of doing so, then cry when they can't farm way higher than they should be able to. These guys that put up videos of high grift clears probably spent hours searching/fishing. And that's not blizzards fault, thats the dumb players that do it. Your kind will always look for somthing to "fish" for an advantage. It's just in your elitist jerk nature.
If paragons were capped at 800 you know what would happen ?
80% of players would quit after one month. SInce you can get to 800 in a matter of days. You can get best in slot in a matter of weeks.So after that people would fish for great rifts and thats that. Nothing else to do. At least with paragons people can get better the more they play. Endless paragons expend the longevity of seasons
Yeah, you're perfectly right. Right now pèeople keeps playing because there's always one more level to get and one mor GR to push for. I like to farm paragons too, while i have very little time and i won't EVER be near to the competitive levels.
As i said it was and easy/fast solution, but not necessarily the best one. I just hope that the focus will shift from level farming (which also promotes botting to get an advantage) towards other things. unfortunately, it's not an easy task and i don't have any idea (at least any working idea).
