I like to experiment with different character builds. Like many others, my stash space is getting cramped and I have "mules" to store gear. Changing builds is an unpleasant task of going in and out of games to swap gear around to my main character. So I created second characters to run 2 class builds at once. Now with more items, more sets, seasons etc it is getting to be a real pain in the azz to experiment.
My idea for a solution in gear tabs (I would even pay for tabs). Each character sheet would have tabs for the equipped gear. It would allow me to have 1 of each class and populate 1 set of gear per tab. Tabs could only be switched in town and it would be great if they were linked to skill sets.
Kanai's is significantly reducing the need to hold high priority lynchpin uniques for experimentation. Hopefully soon they give each character a single "personal" stash tab for holding on to set items. Admittedly with the overall changes to what gear you need to hold and which you don't the current number of tabs should be sufficient to maintain a full set of every set for all most players' characters.

not really, since you still need GG rolled items, so if you find the perfect rolled mara's kaleidascope, there is no way in hell you will cube it over a trash version and keep the GG version.
I really like the idea of adding a second chest next to the current Stash and set that as an Individual Character Stash, have it be maybe 2 tabs big instead of 5, but each character would have their own individual stash that they can access. Want something on another character? Open your individual stash take it out and put it in your shared stash. But I have a Demon Hunter that uses 2 tabs just for Set Gear and Legendarys... There is just so much gear out there to get. I hold onto an entire tab of stuff for my Barb, one for my Monk, and 2 more for my wizard. I've made mules for my Witch Doctor. Maybe my problem is I play too many characters, but I think the issue could resolved by adding a second chest for individual stash for each character that is separate from all your other characters.
Miss the time when i was happy to drop a single legendary in a full run... no problems with stash insues... (Just kidding)
But seriously. With a drop rate like it is today, its a big problem think about what is wothy to keep ou savage. It seems the answer stays increscing stash space when it should be at adjusting and improving smart drops... I'd love to have better items instead of lots of trash to store just in case of not find a GG Ancient item i want.

Think about it this way: You won't cube the Mara's but you can still run it on another character wit ha different GG amulet.
Item flexibility is increased and the need to compulsively horde 9 Furnaces "just in case" hyas been significantly reduced. Since you can just take *any* GG item and wear it in slot combo'd with whatever legend effect you want.

i Think the best solution would be personal and shared stash. One that is tied to your character.
you can have shared ones with crafting mats and gems and such. And use the personal ones that change with each character for gear for that char

Considering one of my goals for season 4 is to get every single item kanai cubed. The need for stash space is much smaller.
Well its going to be a bitch until I go through them at least but I agree 2 sets of stash each 5 spaces big 1 for personal and 1 for share. per char

This. 1,000,000x this!
