So i have been thinking a little lately. About how easy i can now cruise through t6 on a few of my characters(still got a few i cant even do t6 on :p). Is it time to add a few more torment levels ?
perhaps torment 1 to 10 ? Or even get back monster levels. T6 mp10 would be fun
Yes. we do have greater rifts to use as a higher difficulty than t6, but not everyone enjoy greater rifts.
Grifts are a lot more bearable to do now than pre patch and i know i'm slipping onto the rng slope, but at lvl 40 i get 3-5 legendaries from the boss, which is kinda in line with T6 in 15mins when i solo and at least i need to fire more than a spell to kill a pack.
T6 now is the super fast farming route, and i think it's ok to be like that after you are full equip.
In a nutshell, play Grifts for a bit of change of pace, they are fun now. (Jailer is still bullshit).

I find jailer so easy to deal with now, it deal barely 1/3 of my hp and i heal to full before another even goes off, it used to take out 80% of my hp pre-patch, maybe you just need a bit more healing.

For me, personally, doing using GR as substitute for higher Torment levels doesn't feel the same, just a feeling.
Maybe it's the timer, even though you can ignore the timer, it's always there, ticking, making you feel like you're under pressure, that's just me perhaps, but I don't want to rush/stress through a rift.
Maybe it is the fact that no loot drops (except for the Rift Guardian ofc), no goblins, no gold.
And it is really somewhat annoying to do the damn trial rift for every GR you wanna do >.<
Can't quite put my finger on it, but it just doesn't feel the same.

Obviously this is a lot of RNG, but from ONE T6 Rift I've gained 17 legendaries, which you will NEVER see from a Rift Guardian in Greater Rifts.
On the other hand, on very rare occasions I've received 0 legendaries in a T6 run, but that happens very rarely, as i said, RNG.
And IF there ever will be a T7 or whatever, it will most likely have even higher Magic Find bonus from that difficulty (T6 having 1600% IIRC).
I think Grifts are there for those who like high difficulties, T6 is great for relaxed fun and farming, now it is pretty easy to gear up because we breeze through T6
I think when they release new expansion, they will probably announce level 80 and T7-T10
Yes. Make T7-T10 or something. There are a lot of well geared people p500+ that can roll T6 like childs play. I dont care for grifts so I dont care to see what my top level can be. I dont like timed bs events that are driven by as much luck as skill. I am not alone. There are many people that only use rifts like I do, as a tool for leveling gems, and thats all.
Please do this. T6 with 3 ppl standing in town is way too easy, it feels like t1 while solo it feels like normal. My billzzard one shots everything, there is no challenge outside of a 35+ grift in d3.
Surprise, when you have decent gear and are using one of the best builds for your class you can roll T6. If you hate greater rifts and just want to play normal rifts and adventure mode or whatever, try using less ideal builds and make your own challenge because sadly greater rifts are the endgame now. This is what we asked for afterall.
No, the whole point of the current setting is to eventually make t6 be a joke. If we were to increase the torments you will simply do so over and over again, and eventually you will have 10billion damage and the mobs will have their life and potency increased accordingly, which is a nightmare from a designing and codding point of view, and ultimately useless. What's the difference between 2 mil damage and level 70 and the future you like of 2 billion damage and level 200? Nothing, just numbers and more time wasted to get there. It's the perfect example of a slippery slope.
"Nightmare form a designing and coding point of view".... what are Grifts then?
This is what difficulty levels do in the first place. Get bigger number loot to kill bigger number monsters to get even bigger number loot. Isn't that more or less Diablo?
lol you guys. there should definitely be an increase in torment. in fact torment should be able to be set up to an IMPOSSIBLE level (like 100 or something) manually. how is this different from grifts you ask? NO MOTHERFUCKING TRIALS. so no, increasing torment is NOT the same as going to grifts. because my firebird wiz can go to pretty high grifts but cant farm trials that well. in fact increasing torment is better than eliminating trials for grifts because at least that way people wont be able to upgrade their gems to undeserved levels.
No need to increase torment levels. As people are saying, grifts kind of fulfill the "more challenge" purpose.
However, there's alot of stuff Blizzard could do to further diversify the current Nephalem Rift-game, such as allowing rift keys to be enchated. I made a thread about this like a week ago, among other ideas, that could make T6 more challenging from time to time - but foremost - more varied and with added longliveity.
If you're interested in reading the thread you can check out my profile for the thread-link.

i dunno i got to t6 and above (got the beat gr30 in hc seasonal conquest thing before the patch gimped grifts) pretty easily. granted firebird wiz has 3 lives and i chose to gimp myself damage-wise to equip aether walker for mobility, but such is the name of the game of hardcore!

Perfect imoh.
I dunno what happened with 2.1.2 but t6 feels a lot different to 2.1.1. I get so much more loot.
Before the patch it was like 0-6 legendaries per rift.
now its like 0 - 20 ...
This is mostly due to the goblins currently being really generous. but even in rifts without any goblin spawn i had 10 legendaries once.
However the best thing was yesterday.
Single t6 rift: 9 legendaries from mobs, 2 Goblin Hoards with about 15 goblins each -> extra 8 legendaries
+ about 1000 veiled crystals, 300 gems, 400 arcane dust
+ 600 blood shards from a violet goblin pack.
Thats 17 legs, + 4 legs from bloodshards = 21 legs + tons of mats , in about 15 minutes ( took a while to pick up everything)
thats a legendary once in less then a minute.
I was like WTF is going on here.
really awesome.
However grifts dont feel as rewarding, and arent as rewarding because a guardian will never drop 21 legendaries
(who are we kidding, they wont bother)

You don;t need 81028947039857 levels of torment to progress through. Once T6 is "too easy" you do rifts until they're "too easy" (never)
This an ARPG, go play Dark Souls if you want challenge ffs.
All I want to do, is get to a point where I can one shot everything in t6... Sadly, unlike D2, this will never happen,
