This is the weird thing with blizzard on the skill calculators. Some skills they are crystal clear like with Spirit Walk.
Then with Smoke Screen it doesn't say anything...
Here is a video of a dude using smoke screen, but he didnt try to attack anyone.
I watched his bars when he used it and none of them went grey, so I assume he could still use them. If it breaks the effect or not is another question.
You CAN keep attacking in that 3 secs and mobs won't try to attack you or chase you. SS is a very good skill as a aggressive skill, sometimes even better than used as a survival skill.

Nice good news, you are 100% correct about its offensive capabilties. "Smoke Screen" to get close and lay your traps then get the hell out of there with "Vault".
But you can still be hit with damage (e.g., an AoE spell hits in the general area where your character is standing) under the smoke screen, just not targeted, right?

Probably, could probably be hit by stray projectiles as well. Though, for all intents and purposes you are pretty much invincible for those 3 seconds.
So if you would create a build around this, would you be able to be permanent invisible? Maybe with both multishot and enough creatures it would actually be possible?
It is possible if you attack fast enough and have enough +disc, but it would pretty much only work in aoe situations.
If you attack at 2 APS, then you could fire 8 shots in that 4 second window. So you would have to hit at least 2 mobs with 8 shots in order to use it again to stay invisible.
Bola shot bitter pill also returns discipline as well. On average ~1 disc per shot.

This is good to hear. I guess I'm thinking mostly in the context of PvP, where 3 seconds of moving invisibility and being able to attack is very different from 3 seconds of moving invincibility and being able to attack. Definitely a useful skill, still.
In PvP, I wonder if there will be a tell that an enemy player is invisible through a slight warping of the environment (e.g., cloaked/invisible enemy units in Starcraft).
Just to clarify, the skill blinds enemies from you. You can still attack and take damage. However, enemies will not target you. It also breaks any snare on you.
My question is, if used in PvP, do you become invisible to your opponents. Because that would be awesome.

I just tested this on beta and you can fire while invisible.

im looking forward to building around this, imagine using caltrops with jagged spikes or fan of knives all while invisible

Why doubt this when it's easily testable for anyone in the beta? Funny, you've said numerous times you were in the beta, lolz.
But yes you can keep attacking and it does not break the invisibility.
