I hear that bow's will be in the game as seen used by the followers in Diablo III's first Barbarian gameplay video. Yet to see the Demon Hunter use them in any videos or screenshots. That was always my favorite weapon use as an Amazon in D2. Are demon hunters strictly double crossbow pistols only? If so...kinda lame. But I'm sure Blizzard won't disappoint, if anything they'll create a bow so MAGNIFICENT and EPIC I'll probably
No you can use more than just the pistol x-bows, they just like the gimmicky-ness of the double crossbows. Bows will be around, and I think other classes will be able to use them as well.

If that made sense to you, Bravo! I think I even confused myself...
Is it just me, or do the bows from Inferno difficulty look a bit lackluster.
They do look a bit plain yes, hopefully the in-game model will be more prominent. When I think about it, the bows of Diablo 2 were rather lacklustre as well. If you look at, let's say WoW, you'll see that the in-game models of the end game bows are a lot more vivid then the tooltip.

I think the general design direction is drastic shapes as opposed to fine details, just out of the fact you will never see your character close-up beyond the selection screen. The best they can do for making the bows look cool are highly-impossible-yet-awesome shapes and some rad colours.
gotta think to, i doubt they would show the best looking models, it seems they are keeping stuff like that out of the media, so the players can discover it =D
Sounds good KargosofUldum

With all the attention they were giving the crossbows i thought bows were not even in the game.
Post number 6 has a link to the exact moment they show the bow.
From 3:07 - 3:23 that Demon Hunter is using a bow.
See it now
