I just recently purchase Diablo 3 for the PS4 and it's a pretty fun game. I recently just hit 70 and I'm been trying to find some legendary items and gain paragon points. I notice that a lot of the meta builds like Firestarter and Holy Shotgun are very powerful builds but very dependent on the gear. Since I just started and I don't really know much about the game. Are there any good builds that are less gear dependent?
Helped me very much so! It requires crafting gear and not too gear dependant, can jump right in, obviously the better the gear the better it plays. He explains it well. I am only new to crusader and would like to jump up to another build but I need more gear myself, I only have more or less the crafted legendary sets
I will say that some builds are very gear dependent but on some if you actually try the skills and passives without the gear that it actually works well in some cases. And as you get the gear in the build you will see all of your numbers go up and fill like you're progressing which is a very good feeling. Take Bagstone's build for a Conflag/Archon Wizard http://www.diablofans.com/builds/7-conflag-archon It does have some gear dependency but it's not actually that bad of a build even if you don't have all of that gear. I was running Torment 1 comfortably with it and about all I had was Aughild's from that build.
Yes I know. But I was just talking in general. I just used my own example with gearing up my Wizard. Most gearing up in the beginning is about the same for all classes. Usually first thing you get for starting gear after hitting 70 is crafted things. And if you have it Aughild's is basically the first thing you craft because so many builds for starting out that I see have it.

A little different skills than the video above. Pretty flexible up to T3/4 on what you actually do.
