So There's been a bunch of new info Datamined today, in addition we've been told that CBT will be starting by the end of the year.
This will lead to ALOT of interesting Crusader information, I figured I'd start this thread to discuss the latest changes.
That being said, lets get on with the discussion!
First off we have the passive Ring affects, a few were of particular note to me:
Blessed Shield bounces to 3 additional enemies: Awesome, Blessed Shield is a guarentee to be on my action bars, this turns it from a nice tool for Rare/Elite packs (which are generally 3 mobs) into a solid AoE for all packs, especially when you consider...
Removes the resource cost of Blessed Shield: It's now free
Iron Skin also increases your Block Value by 50%: so not only do you take 50% less damage, but your shield block 50% more... good luck landing ANY damage on me demons!
Gain 500 Life regeneration per Second for each second you stand still. This effect stacks up to 8 times: Not crusader specfic, but it is still frakkin sexy
Unique_Flail_1H_Promo_01_x1 - CE Flail 1H an awesoem Flail for getting a CE? yes please I'm guessin it wont be an ACTUAL weapon, because there would be rage, but considering they're adding the mystic this expac, it might be a cool transmog!
Now to the REAL meat of the discussion, the ability changes:
Hold your Ground: changed from 5% to 15% block. a VERY nice change, still not sure it's worth sacrificing dodge for and given how OP some of the other passives are, I can't see myself using this one, still a nice change though.
Holy Cause: VERY nice passive, this one is a certain pick for me. 10% increase holy damage from my weapon and 1% healing every time I deal holy damage (which will be every swing, due to holy damage on the weapon), what's NOT to love? What I want to know though, what will make this passive either strong or flat out OP... Will it proc multiple times from AoE? Say my Shield bash hits 10 mobs, will I get 10% of my health back, or 1%?
Blessed Shield: damage increase to 100% of shield block amount: nomnomnom
Bombardment - Annihilate: wwooww, on demand Crushing Blows? YES please, will be great for chunking down bosses.
Condemn - reciprocate: We all knew the 100% damage absorb wouldn't last but 50% reduced damage for 3 seconds on a 15sec CD is still GREAT and that's before we even GET to the 1250% weapon damage + 50% of damage sustained during the 3sec
Iron Skin, now with RUNES: Very cool ability with some great runes, can't decide between Charged up for AoE damage, or considering it's supposed to be an emergancy button, Flash to help me escape...
Akarat's Champion: a get out of death free card on a 2min CD? love it, would be good even without the increase Attack Speed and Wrath regen, or the rune for 150% increased armor
Punish: 100% will be my left click 50% increased block amount with (probably) 100% uptime, what's not to love? I just wonder if that will increase the damage of abilities which scale from Block amount.
Laws all have runes now! and they're all pretty good!
Valor - Answered Prayers: I guess this answers my question about Nephalem's Glory making it to the PC version!
Hope - Stop Time: There is NO way this is making it live :P, it would allow the crusader to totally negate so many mechanics in game.
Justice: Nerf to resistance... are we surpised? No didn't think so, some nice runes though, Decaying Strength is my pick, up to 60% reduced damage for 10 seconds? how can you pass that up!
Overall some VERY sexy changes, can't wait to start playing my Crusader!
