Frenzy (Maniac) - Best fury generator since increased attack speed = more critical hits. Maniac seems to be the best overall dps increase.
Hammer of the Ancients (Birthright) - Hammer as the main fury-spender, with an increased critical chance . Birthright provides additional farming potential. If I want survivability I would switch from Birthright to Thunderstrike; while perhaps not as effective against solo bosses, it would make surviving mobs much easier.
Leap (Death from Above) - I wanted one mobility move to get out of trouble, or for convenience for switching between vertical levels and jumping over walls. The stun from Death from Above seemed like an obvious survival skill; I considered Iron Impact, but a 3 sec stun seems preferable to a 4 sec armor boost.
Overpower (Revel) - The self-healing portion. With the massive increases to crit strike, should be hitting substantially more often than every 15 seconds.
Battle Rage (?) - The buff itself is a must have for a crit build. Passive wise, I'm pretty torn. Marauder's Rage is probably the best overall dps, and Ferocity would be great for convenience. Swords to Ploughshares would be good for smooth farming, but it might not be necessary. However, I'm actually leaning towards Bloodshed; this build has limited aoe, so being able to have standard Frenzy attacks hit for aoe would be very helpful.
Wrath of the Beserker (Thrive on Chaos) - The long cooldown. Went with Thrive on Chaos because increased uptime will hopefully be more of a dps boost than Insanity or Slaughter.
Obvious passives: Ruthless & Weapon Master. Lots more crit chance.
3rd passive: I went with Bloodthirst, but didn't know if there was anything that might be better. Lots of survivability and dps options,
frenzy -> cleave whit reaping OR Rapture
I love cleave, there VERY rarley less then 2 monesters your fighting at the same time and already there this will own
comboing 3!! chances of making enemyes explode (WotB+Battlerage+rapture) will chain uncontroillable and kill INSANELY good. (a few patches back we sould use rapture on cleave as first rune and its GOLDEN (1 explotion, that kills a new one makes the new one explode, and that kills a second one.... and so on) add these other 2 chances you will really make it a slaughter house.
Wreath of the Berserker -> same whit "slaugther"
its not like you have build high fury regen anyway, abuse your high crit chance to kill.
Bloodthirst -> inspiring presence
steady 1% each second feels safer then 3% of damage (just consider it, but its more personal preference for me)
these changes will give you an great edge of AoE damage while still keeping your high single target damage
My only concern is survivabilty in later difficulties. I would pick a defensive third passive. But I like the general idea of hte build.
His third passive is defensive. It's a 3% lifesteal. Unless he changed it after you posted it. And crits+lifesteal probably gives a ton of survivability. Overpower's rune Revel is also amazing for suvivability, if you hit 5 enemies you're looking at 40% heal of your maximum HP (and the cooldown isn't huge).
The idea will be to dual wield axes/maces for maximum attack speed/fury boost to keep Wrath of the Berserker up. There's 4 attacks here that can stun. And I have 2 initiator/escape tools. Just from this build alone, you can get a base 40% crit rate when all your procs are up, and 20% baseline. That's with ZERO gear. Imagine how brutal it'll be once you stack +Critical damage.
I personally feel like Ruthless is an OP passive. 50% damage bonus from crits sounds insane... and it's available at level 10!
