Crimson runed Whirlwind will do 430% weapon damage per second to all targets in melee range, for the cost of 16 Fury. Is this just mad? It is easily the best aoe skill, but it seems to me it is actually the best single-target damage as well. Compared with Frenzy, which does 185% weapon damage per swing and 75% faster attack speed (runed crimson at 5 stacks) and Bash, which does 200% (Indigo, 5 stacks) or 180%(Crimson) it seems to do more damage. Yes, both of the above spells are rage generators, and WW is a spender, however taking something purely for rage generation like Bash (Gold) or Weapons Master will see you gain fury in no time. I am sure some people already thought of that and so I would appreciate some feedback on why WW should or shouldnt be the spammed ability for both aoe and single targets.
I am curious if WW would activate Weapon Master if you were wielding a mighty weapon. If it does, WW could become the new WotB as the skill people try to keep going perpetually.
I would atleast lose ground stomp and grab ignore pain.

Although another possibilty for WW is that with higher level runes it will grant you Rage so you no longer need a rage generator.
Whould love if they didnt nerf the rune effect, whould fit well in to my aoe barb build !

Yes I am seeing earthquake at 2000%, but if the correct statement about WW is true it would be a much better strategy using using any generator with added fury gain and WW. From what I can see the dmg% done over the 2 min or even 90 sec with passive would be much greater then the 2000%.
i thin you can get Earthquake down to 55 sec or something like that with runes and passive(if they stack that is) but im not shure it matters was kinda OT

that 2000% Weapon Damage on Earthquake is over 8 seconds though. So it is actually 250% WD per second. WW is still better damage and doesn't have that cooldown. The only way WW will keep that much damage is if the cost ticks at the same rate of the damage.
