I did not include skull grasp to simplify the equation.
So technically speaking, the wastes set isn't any better than IK? Can anyone prove me wrong, please. I might be forgetting something.
I've been fooling around the IK set in PTR to see if I can come up with a better build for WW, and it seems it doesn't perform any better or any worse than wastes. Below is my setup:
I have enough sustain that I can survive even on GR 90+, and I have enough damage output similar to the wastes set+Istvan's. My build above does not have mantle of the channeling, but given that I can get WotB up 98-99% of the time without the Bulkathos passive, I have Berserker rage and Brawler passives added instead.
I want to prove a point that the devs did not really buff the barbs last season with the wastes set changes, and only tricked us into believing so. If the IK set indeed performs the same with the Wastes set, then it would be equivalent to WDs having Helltooth at 2400% and Arachyr at 2400% which would not make any sense at all. I want to prove, with good examples, how Wastes needs a buff.
I have gone as far as augmenting the IK set + Istvan's, and comparing it to my augmented wastes + Istvan's in the live server, I don't see any difference at all.
Not sure about the numbers, but in my opinion, few sets should have same final damage outputs, because if that was not the case, one set would be obvious reason for players because of supremacy.
I believe that more "equal damage output" sets should exist, to provide players with different playstyles at their disposal, without loosing anything in terms of efficiency.
COE: *3 multiplier divided by 20 seconds would give roughly 1.15 per second (I am looking at the constant damage it gives on one full rotation)
Wastes: 800%
Insanity: 50% = 1.5
COE: 200% = 1.15 (considering the downtime when in a different element)
800%*1.5*1.15=1380%
==========================================================
IK: 400%
Insanity: 50% = 1.5
F&R: 50%*50% = 2.25
400%*1.5*2.25=1350%
