Anyone here know any slower metal bands

I've been looking for some metal bands that kinda sound like the song Misery's crown by Dark Tranquillity. Anyone know of any bands who have this kind of sound on every song?

I don't know who that is. But some more laid back rock music I guess might be A Perfect Circle, or NIN's Ghosts album.

Into Another has some slower tracks too, but they're a very acquired taste.

Get your hands on "Epicus Doomicus Metalus" by candlemass, "III:So long suckers" by Reverend Bizarre or "given to the rising" by Neurosis...that's a start at least

Opeth have a lot of songs like that. So do Shining (a LOT) and Xasthur (a LOT as well). Mostly any atmospheric Black Metal band, and a lot of Progressive bands. i.e Arcturus (check out a song called "Nocturnal Vision Revisited" to see if you like that stuff.

Porcupine Tree is a good progressive band. Though they might be a bit too soft for you. My friend loves both Porcupine Tree and Opeth.

Try Cold Murderous Music by Carpathian Forest. Great, soothing song, although it tries to get you to commit suicide.

Listen to Dream Theater and Symphony X and Fates Warning I feel that they pretty much lay waste to almost a number of the newer prog rock outfits!

Liten to the best of Dream Theater for soft/fast/hard/medium tempo songs with a great prog/blues/metal/rock vibe!

Never heard any of Dark Tranquility's stuff, just you tubed that riff. That's some good action. I can't think of any old school that sounds like a good match.
