Hey guys, I went to a music store and checked out some guitars and found one i really like, but it is used. That being said it looks to be in pretty good condition and nothing specifically bad about it being used. Is it still a bad idea or should i go for it? Also i think its a guitar from last years model or something, and it is really nice, so im kinda scared itll sell and i wont be able to get one. Hmm...idk what to do lol.

It's perfectly fine to get an axe with some history! If you like it and its not in obviously poor condition, go for it! DO ask about their return policy though just in case.

What is it out of curiosity?

Check the sound out..if that's good, then get it. You're talking about an electric, yeah?

Yes i am talking about an electric guitar, sorry i didnt clarify. I think they have a very good return policy (its daddy's junky music) and it seems to be in great condition.

The tag said it was an Ibanez ARK400 (i believe), but im not sure if that is right. I am kind of confused because i dont see the ark series, but rather the art series. it looked like the art420H ...

...but in a darker glossier color.

For 400$ ? That can get you a flying V/Z guitar here..which to me are the badassest guitars ever.

i dont like those that much honestly....and it was not 400 because it was used. it was 320.

Well, to answer your question..you can buy it as long as it's in a good condition, and its tone isn't really affected (the mics are intact). I'm not too big on the looks, but that's just a matter of personal preference. Not many metalheads would like the look of that anyway, so no worries.

Just check it out good.
Plug it in and test it out.

I used to trade/ buy and sell instruments and have gotten some bad ones.

check out your guitar throughly try doing lots of tapping and bending and lots of vibrato stuff to see how good is the intonation and does the instrument remain in tune or not and if it as any of these issues then get them checked by that store from where you are buying!
