So I'm just back from a concert of The 69 Eyes, and they were fuckin awesome! It's like every concert I go to these days is better than the one before it :P

Anyway, anyone heard of them? Let's see, how shall we describe.. well I think goth 'n roll pretty much says it. They're from Helsinki. I'll link some videos in the setlist they played today.. They're all great, but if you try just some, definately try Framed In Blood, Never Say Die, Feel Berlin, Perfect Skin and Lost Boys.

Setlist:
01 Framed In Blood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUrjxMZOK3E&feature=related) (great recording)

03 Gothic Girl
04 Rocker (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9whTwMhmQbs)
05 Christina Death (not so good song imo)
06 Pitch Black
07 Stolen Season (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oS7zD-ol10) (real good live recording)
08 Feel Berlin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVRWq1zDMYs)

Lol, kinda of like Chiodos in the sense of hearing the music and thinking, "Oh cool!" then hearing the singing and going, "Oh no...". The music sounds kind of cool, but the way they look and act on stage is kind of childish and the singing sounded like joke. Like bad power metal, when power metal is already bad, so I guess it's 'bad squared'.

Hey Lestater, do you know Ava Inferi? Because what you are saying is exactly what I thought about that band (they were one of two opening bands), but on the other hand I think the guy from 69 eyes has a great voice. I must admit, I didn't like them for a long time because of his voice however - that was until I listened to Lost Boys with the volume up real loud lol. Then I was sold. Just needed to get used to it, I guess. It's different, but different can be good :)

I listen to all the Finish Rock/Metal bands.
Some damn good music coming from that area these days.

69 Eyes
Apocalyptica
Children of Bodom
Hanoi Rocks
HIM
Lordi
The Rasmus
...And Oceans (which is now Havoc Unit)

Yep.. most of the music I listen to is Finnish. lol
I think Feel Berlin is the first 69 Eyes song I hears and it got me hooked.

The Rasmus is good. I've been listening to them for years and years and years.

Have you heard Bittersweet?
It's by Apocalyptica w/ Lauri from The Rasmus and Ville Valo from HIM on vocals.

Helsinki vampires! :P
I just felt like saying that..

If you like the subgenres they're in, some more real good Finnish stuff is Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Kotiteollisuus and Ter?sbetoni off the top of my head :)

Edit: Yep, Bittersweet is amazing. I've been a long time fan of The Rasmus, too :)
But their best ever song imo is In The Shadows (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azpErXezD8M). That is one of my favorite songs of all time, totally kickass and inspirational.
