Hi there guys,

A long time ago I posted something here about me and my band diving in to the studio
to record some tracks. And well, they are finished...mixed and mastered and we decided to put it out ourselves "no label".

anyways, we put 3 tracks on our myspace.
its Stonerrock/psychedelic/groove or whatever you wanna call it :D

Hey Switch...First off, I am a musician as well (guitar) and I have to give anyone recording their bands songs and trying to get heard. I have been trying to do that with my old band "Capital Punishment" for the longest and that is what made our band quit...not getting heard. Anyways...here is my two thoughts on your songs so far....


The Beddings - 9.4/10...bad ass song, everything is clean and crisp
Soulburn - 6/10...the longest song i have ever seen and the intro is carried out for too long (2 minutes)
and the last song....7.9/10...pretty good, maybe have the vocals use a little bit more pitch or instead of staying straight pitch throughout the song.

Overall

Songs sound good...the guitarists knows what he is doing. Vocals...is pretty good, could throw in more excertion in parts of the song where it is needed. Drums is a B++ grade player...almost to the point of being top notch :) Keep it up Switch, sounds great in my books!

the bedding- really pro sounding very good overall heaps better than almost all the new stuff i hear on the radio.

soulburn- really long and to be honest it all sounded the same. i would toss a couple guitar solos in there that really stand out, actually maybe a solo for each guy in the band, that would be sweeet

threat- same problem as soulburn, it all sounds very similiar i really couldnt tell minute 1 from minute 2. so i suggest putting more variety into the song, change things up a bit, etc.

i really enjoyed listening to it all though

Well thanks for the great feedback guys!
"the beddings" is also one of my own favorites. Soulburn is indeed a pretty long track and the long intro was kind off intended that way. Threat on the other hand is one of our first songs we wrote 1,5 years ago....

anyways, our official release is gonna be 28th of february so we'll put more songs online by then. Its gonna be a total of 7 tracks including these 3. And just for the record....our guitar player is only 16 years old, and I am on drums :evil: (20).

I promised to get back after our album was released!!
And I have to say it was a kick-ass weekend for us. We played at a nearby club called "W2", and got it recorded on video. (this was a gig the day before the actual release-party)

We didn't get the chance to record the release-show the day after as well. But it was sold out and we got pretty drunk afterwards.....succesfull I may say :thumbsup:
