Band name?

Anyone have sugestions on what i should call my band? (im the only member)
If i like any of the suggestions ill send you a free copy of the first demo. Demo #1 is not completed yet but im working on it.
EDIT: the band is heavily influenced by black/death metal.

* Strife (which is one of the four horsemen of apocalypse, or maybe the 'Horsemen of Apocalypse' is a name.
* Ragnarok (The mythical viking Armageddon )

If none of those work, you can always type a word in MS Word, select it and hold [Shift] and hit [F7] to get similar words from the Thesaurus

Whatever your band name, try avoiding anything to pretentious sounding. Don't do anything with the words demons or angels or hell and heaven or adjectives that denote negative emotions. There's too many stupid band names (that are also stupid bands) that think they got it made once they have a seemingly cool name.

You might want to just make up your own word. I don't know.

Some of my favorite band names, while not necessarily favorite bands are Aphex Twin, Deerhunters, Neutral Milk Hotel, Heatmiser (awesome band name), Mum, Into Another.

I kind of wondered as I threw some of those down if they didn't already exist, there are so many bands these days. Certainly hard to come up with single word band names that are not taken, almost forgot you have to pass names through the musicians guild.

Well let's see, I always liked Greek Mythology Charon (Kharon) was the ferryman who carried the dead across the river Styx (thought to be a branch of the real river in Greece Acheron) to Hades generally known as the Underworld (I suspect that would be taken too). So on that theme let's throw a few more down

* Charon's Fee (or Kharon's Fee)
* Coin for Charon (which was a Danake or Obulus)
* Final Price
* Underworld Pass (or Journey, Voyage)
* Underworld Rule
* Under Styx (LOL! Wouldn't it funny to see someone have to swim the river Styx)

Doesn't surprise me, I'm 42 so I'm sure a lot of stuff has come and gone. Funny people told me I would grow out of it as a kid, they were wrong. I still drum and still play new music obnoxiously loud in my car.

* If you don’t study and get good grades you won’t make a good living, or a high school education won’t take you far – BS! I do better than a lot of college grad’s with masters, PHd’s MBA’s etc. I barely made it out of high school and always failed math, yet I have worked in IT for 20 years now and in sr. positions for the last 10.

My old room mate got rich on a high school education. Passion, drive, and love of what you do will push you to learn what you need to succeed, you will move towards what drives you.

Moral of the story, most people are full of shit and just regurgitate crap they heard from someone else. Good luck with the band, never let anyone throw doubt at you because it's their own doubt they are throwing.

Black Death is what Darkthrone called themselves just before Soulside Journey. Ahh the death metal days of Darkthrone...

I don't think i will be happy with the name until i can think of something on my own. Some good suggestions though. When i get the first demo complete i will make a thread about it. Anyone who wants a copy can tell me then. Yes anyone.
