All those bands....Are just terrible.
ragnarok is a manga or graphic novel w/e you want to call it.

The Ragnarök i am talking about started in 1993, the graphic novel probably started after that, if your implying thats how they got the name.
The graphic novel started in 2002, but that doesnt change the fact that all those bands just scream (litterally) shit and fart.

The Isengard song I posted has zero screaming.

Black metal is generally darker with higher pitched vocals, while death metal has way lower pitched vocals

Why is this called the frost bitten thread? What does that have to do with the subject?

Dear God..no.
Whats the difference between black and death metal ???
Black Metal is typically quite fast, with some bands not really implementing blast beats. It talks about suicide, death, darkness..etc. You have atmospheric, symphonic, or just raw Black Metal. It has high pitched vocals, and a lot of repetition in terms of guitar riffs (Burzum). Death has deep growling with a lot of blast beats..really fast guitar playing, with topics about death, rape, gore..etc. You can find out yourself really..that's just the tip of the iceberg.
To answer the topic, yes, of course. Carpathian Forest, Behemoth, Anaal Nathrakh, Burzum, Ragnarok, and such.

I think I caused the misunderstanding, sorry.
When I said Death (http://www.emptywords.org) I was talking about the band.
Listen to it.

Schuldiner is probably one of the archangels in the Metal Divinity. Mustaine being God, Hetfield being Jesus, Angelripper being Gabriel..so on

Behemoth are Blackened Death Metal. Not your typical Black Metal band.

Why is this called the frost bitten thread? What does that have to do with the subject?Becuase the basic idea behind black metal is to be dark, necro, frostbitten etc.

Black metal owns, but my taste is a bit different from yours. I like Sargeist, Satyricon, Immortal, Gorgoroth, Emperor, Viking Crown, and older Darkthrone a lot.
My taste varies a lot though, i got into melodic and symphonic black metal at first, then i started liking more of the raw stuff, now i like mostly the older (i guess you could call most of it "second wave") stuff. The more dark and atmospheric the better, cause to me that's what really separates black metal from other styles. But Symphonic black metal kinda overdoes it for me, although i love older Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir.

Mustaine being God
MUSTAINE BEING GOD! WTF?!
At least give that god status to really godly guys. e.g. Iommi, Dio, Baloff, Harris...

You really believe Mustaine is worth the title?
I mean Holy Wars is f***ing awesome, but god? I disagree.
And I really think this place belongs to Iommi as the greater metal god, could be Dio (being Italian for God). But it's just my opinion.
And I don't see metal as some angelic thing, more like a Greek or Nordic pantheon (not that this really matter,:D)

Yeah, let's totally disregard the fact that he has single-handedly lead one of the most influential Metal bands ever, created what is considered one of the best (if not THE best) album in Metal history, and the most notorious fucking beast out there.
He deserves it, hands down.

I prefer death personally.
Death metal may include gore, rape etc. (dont know), but its really not like it sounds. I mean, when you say "its about gore and rape" it sounds horrible but thats not how it is.
I dont really listen to many songs from a single band (but very few of the best ones of different bands). So, do the lyrics of the band Death really include all that much brutal themes?

I'm gonna have to agree with you here Mustaine is not a "god" persay I will say hes fucking fantastic and I am a huge fan of megadeth, but their newer stuff is garbage while Iommi and even Sabbath's new stuff (yes sabbath is recordign a new album and 3 of the songs are on the sabbath dio years album) are still quite good. I personally say the gods of metal are Iron Maiden for the sheer number of bands that quote them as their largest influence including but not limited to huge acts like In Flames, Children of Bodom, Opeth, and many more. Not to mention Iron Maiden has always ruled. I'll admit the days of Blaze Bailey (sp?) were a little lack luster but still contained fantastic songs like Man on the Edge and The Clansman (which is about my people!) But take a listen to songs like Brave New World, Dance of Death, No More Lies, Reincarnation of Bengiman Breeg, The Pilgrim, or Rainmaker. These are soem examples of their latest material and it is still all fresh even though they've pumped out 14 studio albums. Not to mention Iron Maiden is the best live band I have ever seen. they have just as much energy as they did in their hey day (I am to young to have lived back then but I have DVDs) and they played a 20 song main set pluss a 3 sogn encore when I saw them this summer you cannot tell me that a group of 6 guys over 50 playing that set that well is not godly!
Also part of the reason Megadeth was so damn good for their best CD's is that they had Marty Friedman as the other guitarist and he happens to be on almost every top 25 metal guitarist list I have ever seen most times within the top 10 as well.

No. Just the early ones. Scavenger of Human Sorrow (http://www.emptywords.org/LyricsTSOP.htm) lyrics. Zombie Ritual (http://www.emptywords.org/LyricsSBG.htm) lyrics.

Sure, Iron Maiden is one hell of a band, but if you choose one single member from the band, compared to Iommi, he's not worth the title.
