ZZ Top is great live, I'm getting to see them in 2 days at the Buffalo Chip(biker rally concert plays where everyone's high and at least partially naked/drunk all night, for those who don't know ;)) There's a lot of other great bands this year, dunno which ones I'll stick around for just yet...

The beards alone are on their own level of amazing and the songs are some of the best evur...EVUR!

ZZ's OK in concert, saw them in 86 at the SF Cow Palace front row, the floor crowd was off the wall, they kept pushing to the front, people were going over the retaining wall all night long.

The opening band was 'Honeymoon Suite' didn't care for their music (they came and went), but the lead singer got my respect that night as a true dedicated pro. He took a direct hit from a full hurled bottle of beer to the head from the back audience, cut his eye wide open at the eyebrow. I thought he would end it and walk off. NOPE! Eyes watering, blood streeming down the side and pain on his face, he leaned back grabbed a small towel off a stool, applied pressure to the wound and kept singing.
