I know it's very possible most of you have never heard of GY!BE, or at least don't know you have. If you've ever seen 28 Days Later, my favorite film, you would have heard their track "East Hastings" as Jim is searching the desolate London in scrubs.

Search for it on Youtube, I highly suggest this to those who likes long, progressive, experimental, instrumental music. (No vocals).

If that does suit you, check out the Red Sparowes, and Russian Circles.

They're amazing. And I'm glad you mentioned russian circles as I was about to say them too. I saw them 2 nights ago and they were sexy.

I just kinda want to know why it is that bands always have such odd names. I mean nothing bad by this, but I'm just curious how they came up with with "GY!BE"

wiki says:

The band took its name from God Speed You! Black Emperor, a 1976 Japanese black-and-white documentary by director Mitsuo Yanagimachi, which follows the exploits of a Japanese biker gang, the Black Emperors.
