The idea that you'll be running around kiting doing little damage is absurd. The WD is the BEST kiting class in the game. You can make around 50% of your skills (just guessing it could be a bit higher) slow as well as do damage. And they are DoT's which means that while you are running away they are skill taking damage. You just have to be smart to play. The WD is the least favored of the classes so far, but will be the strongest class at end game if you take a master of the class verses a master of any other class it will always be the WD on top, especially when the fights are a bit longer like they will be in Inferno, at least starting out.
As to the whole zombie wall thing, I could have sworn there was already a video up of the skill and nothing walked through it at all, but I could be mistaken. Personally I see the merit of both sides, and since it all seems to be hinging on blizzards defintion of width in this case, it seems like we'll have to wait and see. Either way, it's still a great skill, and would be great for control.
Zombie wall has a long cooldown now, 25 secs

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
Interesting thread. Lots of good suggestions and valid opinions. Here is mine:
I can't really see any situation where not having Grave Injustice would be better than having it. So many of the useful snare/cc/summon skills have long cooldowns which will (in theory) be significantly shortened by the passive. Its also hard for me to overlook the hp/mana regen it provides.
So who else thinks it looks like (*GASP*) enemies can't walk through the wall in the new video Blizz released today? http://us.battle.net...wall-of-zombies
the mob INSTANTLY died. proves nothing bud

Right, but there were 3 mobs that interacted with the wall. Watch the behavior of the other two, specifically when the WD runs back towards the top of the screen and the right mob turns down and walks around the bottom edge of the wall - not through it.
I plan on using 4 of those 7 skills and with different rune choices and my passives are completely different. I wouldn't exactly call them mandatory skills either since we have no idea what will or will not be viable.

obviously they wont go up and walk through the wall if its FASTER to walk around it, because its been said the wall may be destructible or slowly walked through which is why "barricade" increases the width. so either of those ways could be just as possible as it not being able to be walked through. we still wont know until release. no more conclusions can be drawn from that video anymore then the other video

Admittedly we can't be 100% certain without using it ourselves, but you can tell from the video that the act of summoning the Wall of Zombies instantly alters the pathing behavior of the incoming monsters. This is before the WD player changes position, so it's proof enough for me. It's also interesting to note that the first monster seems to actually get stuck on the wall, as the damage does not appear to begin immediately after cast (the zombies rise from the ground, first).

Grave Injustice didn't exist when this thread was started XD. I too find it hard to not take that passive in all of my builds as well!

If that made sense to you, Bravo! I think I even confused myself...
its been said the wall may be destructible or slowly walked through which is why "barricade" increases the width.
By whom? You do realize that's pretty much the exact topic being argued for 10 pages in this thread? If "it's been said," someone surely would have pulled that quote by now. Also, basically this:

Walking through was clearly the fastest path to the WD. The exact instant the zombie wall went up, the mobs turned nearly 90 degrees and started walking at an angle to go around it. Meanwhile, the WD did not move until the mobs had already walked to the bottom corner of the wall.

Zombie Wall is a dot essentially... anyone close to the wall will take 80% dmg /sec roughly. The zombies aren't individual summons that attacks for 80% each. Also, it makes a lot more sense for Barricade to make the wall 12 zombies "long" instead of 6, so to speak rather than creating two rows of 6 zombies.
The zombies most likely are not targetable (that's why it lasts 5sec) and cannot be walked through. Essentially Barricade and Unrelenting Grip serve the same purpose... to increase the amount of time an enemy has to walk around the wall to get to you while they take roughly 80% dmg/sec.
This ability needs to be tweaked some more it seems. Pile On does a massive amount of damage compared to the other ones. Creepers description is weird - "Up to 3 Zombies..." what does that mean exactly. I would expect it to be edited in the near future... though I think Barricade and Unrelenting Grip function as they're meant to but the damage of these runes will probably be changed.
Another question is whether an enemy can be attacked on both sides of the wall since the zombies only face one way.
Oh yeah... and maybe the only ability that can be considered mandatory for most builds is Grasp of the Dead. It's clearly the strongest WD ability and will be in most builds people use for Inferno.
Grave Injustice is an ability that's probably best used with abilities that have long cooldowns and I don't think it's as great as people seem to think it is. It's in a similar category with Archon, these abilities will be less useful when enemies take longer to kill, as in Inferno. I think it'll be fun when mixed with other abilities / passives that reduce cooldowns though... you could probably get BBV / Fetish Army to a really low CD.
Instead of arguing over what wall of zombies is/isn't or what it does/doesn't, just post a thread on the official forums in the correct section (WD) and with any luck a blue post will pop up and solve all the hush hush..

Not that I feel like arguing, but if the video is so clear why is there about 30 different opinions on how this spell works in this thread. It's obvious not everyone is on the same page, so its not a waste of my time.

That still doesn't change the fact that no one still has no real idea. Blizzard have posted a new video of it on the website yeah, but that doesn't mean everyone knows how it works.

Which players don't know how it works? The blind ones? Unless the game is coming out in braille, I don't think there will be a problem there.

Except that you can see how it works in the video and how monsters react to it. The first 10 pages of this thread didn't have that video to go on. It's pretty clear now how it works (or at least it should be, unless you just don't want to see it).

Exactly. And i think it's really a great skill. I wonder if it blocks also missiles.
lol..... its like you guys completely ignored the part where i said it still could be destructible and them walking around changed nothing because their AI would make them walk around it in either case. because why would a mob go and attack it if they can walk around it and get to u faster? they wouldnt. it could just as much be that then not destructible. the video, again, proves neither side of the argument. still gotta wait for release fellas
