I saw my card in that list and for a second I thought I wouldn't be able to play the game! Then I read the post again and understood what the 'low' in front of the card name meant...
Hah, yeah :).
Everyone note though that the GPU list is only datamined from the Beta and may not reflect how things will stand for release (or the updated beta even). Currently unsupported cards may very well become supported for release.
wish i knew what kind of systems they are looking for. I have 2 systems I can run the game on... 1 high end, and 1 very high end.. i wonder which they are looking more for to do beta testing so i can add that one to my BNet profile
I wouldn't really worry too much about it. I doubt it will make a big difference. Sure to some degree they do look for certain computer specs, but we have no idea what they want and plain luck is also involved. Even if you chose one and got picked you still wouldn't know what the reason was. And vice-versa if you don't get picked.
So just go with one, don't worry about it and hope for the best :D!

Your CPU will do fine, but you video card is a bit too weak. It's a integrated GPU in the CPU so it's not that powerful. If you plan on gaming you'll need to get a separate video card.
Having my computer specs makes me so very happy to look at the Beta requirements.

How do you guys think that these specs will fare with the game. Will I be able to play it at high settings without the extra things added?(AA and some other quality options).
i'm looking at getting a new laptop because mine is about to die on me, Not looking to spend alienware money, probably go with a asus laptop.I'd be happy to run it on medium. any ideas where I can start looking or should I wait till the real game specs released.
These are likely very close to the full game specs. If you get anything that can hit all these spots, your computer is modern enough to run the game. It's being designed for people that don't have beast machines.

I have a asus n43sl
i5 2410m
gt540m
It runs starcraft 2 on high easily ( automatic settings), It will be similar specs i think so aslong as u get a gt540m or higher you'll run medium def if not high at 720p.

ok thanks i'll be on the search, black friday is also comming up, hope to get a deal
As for 6850, I am pretty sure it can max D3, but if you are only getting a videocard to play d3, then I suggest you to wait till when the game is out. There will likely be better choices then, since both Nvidia and AMD are planning to release new videocards in the spring of 2012. If they make it, you can get new videocards, or cheaper older videocards. Sometimes a 2nd hand videocard is not a bad deal for a older computer, and you can save up money for the next new pc instead.

thx. Yes, the vid card upgrade would be mainly for D3. I will wait for sure until it comes out before buying anything. Just want a card that will allow 1920x1080 and not cost a fortune.
Hardware
Intel i5-2500k 3.3Ghz
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro
Sapphire Radeon 6950 2Gb
16Gb DDR3 1600
Windows 7 x64
Will i need to pick up a second 6950 to run D3 in full High/Ultra?
That's almost exactly the same hardware I tend to buy for my upgrade before the end of the month B)...except only the i5-2500 (not gonna overclock mine) and only 8GB RAM. Not sure about the mobo, but I have considered that one.
And to answer your question, no. I'll be as bold as to say the 6950 is good enough on it's own. I mean BF3's recommended gfx is an 6950...

4 gig ram.
My video card is only a nvidea gt 440. I imagine this is going to cause some problems?
do you think with an ati 6850 I would be able to run on high setting at full resolution?
thx.
What resolution do you run? if you run 1920x1080, then i think you'll be in trouble.
From this review, 440 can barely take on WOW at 1280x1024

For high, definitely no. For ultra, very unlikely but we still don't know how/if/what ultra will be an option.
But as firehaert said, doubt it.
i assure you that you will be able to play it at least at 50+ FPS on ultra.
if it doesn't, come to my house and punch me in the face..... with a sledgehammer
