OK, so I've been told by someone its possible to order the Box Set from Blizzard and still have the option to download the game so I don't need to wait in line?
It won't matter because according to Blizzard the time it takes to install using the discs is = to the time it takes to de-crypt the already pre-downloaded client. (unless they let you de-crypt it a couple hours before launch)
What I find kind of strange is "Box set from Blizzard". Are you suggesting Blizzard sells physical copies? Cause they don't. They're only offering digital copies, which yes, you can download beforehand.

Huh? if I download it now, its encrypted and won't be able to be decrypted until the game is actually released?
Interesting, and a little scary, this is something new thats never been done before, and I'm not sure I want to risk there being Bugs and not able to decrypt the file...

As mentioned before, this was done with sc2. And as far as I can recall, SC2 could be installed just a bit before the official release time of the game (not quite sure thought).

Oh ok, perfect, than I will be the proud owner of the Digital Copy, Sucks cuz I'm a Box art fan. I was really pissed when they switched to the small boxes. But I'm not waiting in line.
Nope, you'll be waiting in front of your computer along with the rest of your region as the servers struggle under the weight of everyone trying to log on at once.

Are you telling me that reading from a dvd is the same as reading from my SSD?
I'm just here to clean up the confusion people seem to have about the pre dowload.
Client Unlock Any idea as to when we will be able to "install" the retail client (digital copy) and download a patch before midnight launch?
The client will unlock when your region hits its midnight release, not before.
So there you have it, we will not be able to install it before release.

Nope, he's saying that it will take just as long to decrypt and install predownloaded copy. Decryption takes FOREVER, and an SSD isint going to change that.

They did it with sc2, I believe.
