Also, I'm pretty sure the 2 armor dyes aren't a new special color. It's just a dark grey and pale white that never goes away when you use it. I'm not 100% and too lazy to check cuz I'm on my iPod touch, but if I remember correctly, the d3 website has the colors listed as one of the other colors. IE the bottled smoke is just the "rogue" color, but it's permanent. Which is cool, but I'd like a new special color. Hell maybe even make it have a special effect. Like smoke causing a slight smokey effect around your character or something. To differentiate CE from reg
Ill try to find the post, but im 99.9% sure there is a blue post saying those colors are unqiue only to the CE edition
The CE dyes are infinite in their use. Keep them forever, dye as much stuff as you want "Cloud" or "Smoke" colored. The colors are unique to the CE.
The wings are an item you hold in your inventory (don't take up an equipment slot on your character), and it's a toggle. Use to turn on, use again to turn off. They're awesome looking, and stack with other class effects like Shadow Power and Archon.
The implication of the above post is that the dyes we have seen people "testing" in videos are probably placeholder code/colors and the colors just aren't really in the beta files.
MU HA HA HA preorders are mostly out of stock! Thank goodness i did so MONTHS ahead! NOW TO SELL IT for 193248$$$ on ebay!!! (just kidding, how can one NOT get d3 CE?! ITS FUCKIN D3 MAN!!!! D3!!!!!! BEEN WAITING LIKE 10 YEARS)
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/dye/ was the link I was referring to. Just seems strange they would give them to same name as other colors. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if blizz holds their word

This is brilliant hype by blizzard for the CE. They will not run out. I still see CE sc2 boxes around best buys and walmarts.
Be real guys. Blizz is in it for the money, and an extra what 60%(ish) of initial game purchase profit? they wont pass that up to make you feel extra special because u got one. They will make tons to make that extra 10-30 bucks profit. A business guys, remember that.

I agree. It is all business. You guys buying the CE are just making them more money. The wings and the dyes will be ignored after a month or two.(Oh you have CE wings? You suck at the game) The diablo head will sit on your desk, and do nothing. The soulstone USB will be used but it looks rediculous. Oh, its preloaded with diablo 2? Who is going to play Diablo 2 when Diablo 3 is out? lol

Dont get me wrong. I will be buying the CE at a midnight release. the point is, that there will be plenty of copies of CE for all who want to PAY for one.

I do agree with you on this part... to make the CE Cloud or Smoke color really unique, really special and really distinguishable from the other normal game colors, Blizzard should make it have a special effect like Cloud causes a slight cloudy (white) effect and Smoke to cause a slight smokey (dark smoke) effect around the piece of gear or armor that it was applied on to.
My question to Blizz is this, will that same CE unique color stay in effect if the person trades the gear or puts it up in auction?
If there is no way to identify a CE account to that of a regular account, then everyone would have the special colored gear as well.
I think, Blizzard should be able to have a way or device a code that only players playing with the CE authenticated keys would be able to use any armor dyed with these CE unique colors.

We don't get to see the animation of the wings.
They seem more like girly extended shoulder pads than imperius/tyrael wings,
they look like a spell straight out of world of warcraft instead of the immense tendrils they're supposed to be.
Edit. My fear is that they look too little like
As you have seen, the CE wings does look like this:
I do wish Blizzard can make it look a little more like that of Tyrael's angel wings.
They could add some more tendrils that drops off downwards with maybe the lowest one actually touching the ground.
This way, it would also be distinguishable from Shadow Power and Archon. I think people with CE sporting these angel wings would actually enhance the angelic wings and make it more awesome whenever they use the Shadow Power or Archon which would stack over the CE angel wings. That's awesome there and there.
Not to shamelessly plug my other thread (which is HERE btw lol) but I am able to spawn the two CE dyes also and as crebain's links show, in the Beta at least, the Bottled Cloud and Bottled Smoke have no special visual effects and are simply the same as Pale and Rogue's which is why I didn't bother adding those two dyes to my images.
I do hope that they are changed in the retail version of the game but either way, they weren't the reason I wanted the CE anyway
Yuuup! Those images are what the dyes would likely look like when dyed on player's gears... but those images where posted way back on the 8th of December last 2011.
The way they look like, they don't really appear in any way unique from any of gears dyed with normal dyes of almost similar colors.
That's why I agree with nemesis2252 with what he suggested that Blizzard should do something more to make the CE dyes stand out in color when applied to different gears.

I can't change or add effects to those two dyes, all I can do is make them appear on the ground to be picked up like any other item. Although I'm technically proficient with Photoshop, I'm not overly artistic lol, but maybe someone who is can create some mockups of the effects we'd like to see in those two dyes
If you want the CE you need to travel back in time. I knew it was going to sell quick and bought it the day after it was announced.
Walmart doesn't take preorders. That's been my plan all along. Install digital version, walk into Walmart at 11:45pm, walk out at 12:05am with CE, go home, put in key, playing by 12:15am (let me google map it... 1.6 mile drive).
Well Ill already be playing for 15 whole minutes by the time you start, and good luck catching up

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...

There's no info whether CE will be present in Russia at all (SCII CE wasn't), and the release date is June 7th for us (we can still buy digital european version on May 15th though), and I don't know if I want to order from amazon.de because our mail service can just loose your package or deliver it a few weeks later than expected. Don't know what am I gonna do.
BUT! Our "Russian only" version will be available for about $30, good for the people that can stand playing D3 in Russian.
Does Blizzard make more money by selling hard-copy? Because if I download just digitally then you don't have to create a box, or a manual; you also don't have to transport the stuff.

I think it's more on Blizzard is making money of the rights to sell the latest version of the game itself... soft or hard copy is the same.
Though for security purposes, it is always better that you have a physical copy in hand which you can turn to whenever you need to reinstall the whole game. Say, your computer broke down or you're not playing at your house... stuff like that wherein it will be more convenient if you have the original disc of the game with you, thus saving you a lot of time from downloading.
Also, having the hard copy signifies that you have the authentic and genuine thing. It will also clear up the space the downloaded digital copy would eat up from your computer's hard drive.

The money saved by not manufacturing and transporting could be spent on more internet ads or tv ads, which are also digital.
To the talk about the CE dyes not being super unique, I understand why they aren't. It wouldn't make any sense to have super rare, hard to find, gone in one use dyes (like crimson red and the such), and then have even cooler, infinite use special effects dye that a LOT of people will have. Personally? I'd love to have a cool extra visual effect for them, but it makes sense they there doesn't appear to be any.
Heck I'l be happy with the dyes as is; Infinite use =D

DiabloWiki just need to change the names for these two colors which are unique only to players playing with the CE keys.
