I won my key and also I dont get why soo many people are wanting to play beta.. Its like 2 hours long and the cap is level 13.. I was more excited to get into the catacylsm beta since there was so much more to do.. beta is fun but It gets boring after 1-2 times of playing. Were like playing 3% of the game, im not trying to be an @ss but i wanted to get into beta soo much and now its like w/e Im playing gears 3 and MW3 now a days lol
Well im for the most part happy with how i have seen the game progres and I want to have a test drive, hence going into contests, subscribing to youtube channels. Its like everything if its a tad exclusive and you want to be involved you cant help but want to do what ever to get into that exclusive thing.
Alot of people payed D2 and loved it so its rather just a normal thing to want to play and test the next installment. Sure what you get to test isnt huge but its the fact that (at least for me) your helping in the testing process and getting a hands on go at what is on the horizion for everyone.

Good grief man. This is your second post about how bored you are. Some people have different opinions and like things that you don't like. How do you not understand this? Move on with your life, there are more important things to contemplate then the reasons someone might like vanilla ice cream or chocolate.
Ha OP you are confused why people on a diablo fansite want to play the next installment of diablo 3 (some people have been waiting 10+ years)? That ish cray. We want to see where were at with development, how it feels to move, and conclude what character will we take our first steps in sanctuary with. I want to agree with all of blizzards changes, but i must play or I will accuse myself of koolaid drinking! Without beta they all sound good... must test must test.
What a really bad thread topic. Ungrateful person berates others who want to enjoy a shot at a game they have been waiting to play for years to enjoy. It's a fun beta and it's really fun if you like Diablo.
I seriously doubt you managed to level all classes to 13, and do all the achievements and see all the randomization, in 2 hours. A whole playthrough, with decent exploration, and that enjoys the game (drooling at the art/graphics, listening to dialogues, killing most enemies) instead of trying to blast through it asap, doesn't take less than 1 hour and a half from what I've seen.
It took a friend of mine, who is quite an experienced gamer, 8 hours to do everything. And he's still playing.
Seriously, a beta with nearly 7-10 hours of content is nothing to scoff at. No wonder so many people want to play it.

That deserves a +1

I guess it really depends on what you expect out of the beta. If you expect a demo that represents all the game has to offer, you will be disappointed.
I'm not expecting the beta to be some great game. I just want a chance to get a feel for the game. I want to get a better idea of how each class plays so I can make a more educated decision about which class I will start with at launch. And I don't expect to play for hours a day until release day. I still have Skyrim and Twisted Metal to finish anyway.
With the way the forum works currently, to +1 you have to click on the small X on the top-right-hand side of the signature and ignore it (to be able to click on the ↑ and upvote someone).
Don't do it, though, my signature is awesome
Btw, I'm not asking anyone to upvote me, just passing forward some interesting info (specially since after the change almost nobody gets reputation points because of this).

In a lot of cases people want something they don't have. The more difficult it is to get, the more they want it.
Once they've got it they come to realisation that it's just a thing and what they really wanted was the recognition or status of having the item more than any function it provides.
How people choose to go about getting that recognition varies, as we have seen on these forums from people who do get keys.
I think the entire purpose for which people are given keys has been forgotten by many people who get them. In saying that, Blizzard is no doubt aware that a number of the keys will be used by people who will not do any real testing and will provide no feedback to help them polish the game.
What pains the rest of us most is the knowledge that we would do a far better job than many others who 'had a go' at getting a key, or just gained one through the opt-in out of curiosity.
I can't see much quality testing, attention to detail, or constructive feedback coming from someone who likes MW3 anyway.

They didn't give you a beta key so that you could blow through the first part of the game and say "oh okay, that'll be neat, I'll just turn this off until the full release." You got a beta key so that you could play and test everything and then provide some feedback to Blizzard the community. PS- "I got the beta, played it for less than two hours, and now I'm playing other stuff" does not count as feedback.

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
This certainly seems a rather common affair, the opt-ins should have had some better selective criteria.
I've also been informed noone from outside the USA who opted in got an invite at all.
These fansite keys undoubtedly tend to not to get across the border either.

On a related note, OP, give me your beta access... please?

This makes me hapy =] Kinda suspected it...
Any chance I could log your account to try the beta?
