Bear with me because I am merely nitpicking at minor details in animations, but wouldn't it be cooler (and kinda make more sense) if your character (and its pets) actually appeared to 'walk' through the portal when they go back to town, rather than simply appearing in the town motionless (and with a stack of 3 dogs standing on each other)?
Minor detail, so say what you want about it, but I feel like they could add some small animation when you use the portal to make it look smoother.

Does anybody really know what time it is?
Does anybody really care?

You're free to nitpick on little details. Little details are are make great games what they are
The only thing that bothers me about this is how characters stack on top of each other (after teleporting/entering a room). A very very simple trigger could place them at least half a yard from each other, so it doesn't feel as clumped.
Overall I don't like the no collision at all system too during the game. It is possible ot make a collision system so subtle and "slippery" (if you know what I mean) there's 0 chance of griefing in it, so I don't know why they didn't do it.

You mean like it already does? I think your computer isn't fast enough.
Edit: Fixed link.
