There's already a topic similar to this one but without the poll, and that's scary enough to me.
But seriously, pay to play would scare so many people I know away from the game (not even buying it) that it is 100% my vote. Almost every pay to play system that promises a ton of features never delivers on any acceptable level that neither me nor my friends would even consider buying it.
pay to play = no purchase because I would play casually, not hardcore. The likelihood that I'd play 12 hours each month would be rare, so it wouldn't be worth the $. And if I didn't get to play DIII, I might just throw a temper tantrum.
Release date of 2012: Really bad news.. I've waited for 6 years, i think i can handle some months.
Free to Play with micro-transaction funtionality: I've nothing against this kind of model as long as micro-transactions are good. Still it would be bad because the SP would problably recieve no love since it's the free part of the product.
Pay to Play (monthly subscription): I'm not a fan of p2p either. But p2p have a good side: constant content updates and lots of love from blizz.
Drastic changes in game systems or mechanics: Drastical changes would be like D3 is not D3... And i want to fuckling play D3 even if i have to wait until 2012, play it with a bunch of 5 year old asiatics and pay monthly fees. Anything to play D3 as it is =[

Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.
I merged the two topic on the same subject. Continue as normal. Nothing to see here folks.

Battle.net would have to be completely hack free to justify a monthly fee in Diablo, I expect nothing less.
