So I'm pretty new to the whole wiki thing but I wanted to contribute by filling in some of the missing skill pages. I picked Evasive Fire to start and cannot figure out how to actually create the page. The wiki help says when I navigate to is there should be a "create page" option but I don't see that. All I get is, "There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs."
I thought somewhere it said use the discussion tab to start a new page, so I did, but now I can't find where I saw that. Anyway, that's why all the info is on the discussion tab for now.
Are new members not allowed to create pages or am I just missing something basic?
To be completely honest I don't know. That's not supposed to happen, but we've had a lot of bot edit problems in the past and it may be a filter active somewhere that prevents new users from creating pages right off the bat. We'll get back to you.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Wait a second, that article already existed by the time you edited it. Try searching for some word you know won't be in the wiki and see if you are prompted to create it, like Tyrannosaurus.

I see in the history that is was there but when I went to the page it gave me the exact same text as a garbage page would. Such as if I went to www.diablowiki.com/Diablo_8. It did not have the read, edit or history tabs. Not sure why it says it was there but I couldn't see it. I have more info below but wanted to address what I was seeing with the Evasive Fire Skill.

Pust stuff there
So I tried searching for Diablo 8 following your example. It pulled up about 15 results to various pages with Diablo and 8 in them but didn't give me an option to create a page. I also navigated directly to Diablo 8 and it gave me the same text as I mentioned before. Also, if I try and upload a file I receive the following text on a Special page:
Special:Upload

Oh, lol, the reason this is happening is because you're not logged in. The wiki has a seperate authentication and so you'll need to create a wiki account. I might add that the validation error message really needs to be more specific about what is going wrong.
In fact, you'll need to be logged in to even edit articles, too. Or are you logged in and you're still having this issue?

I'm pretty sure we set something up where you have to make a certain number of edits (~10?) before you can create a page to curb the bot spam problem. I'd assume that's the issue here.
EDIT: Yeah, you only have 6 edits so I'm pretty sure you're just not over the little speed bump we set up to keep the bot spam at bay.
Problem with that is that the filters stop people from saving edits, but doesn't remove the links to start editing. There is in any case no filter that I can adjust that has such a limit, the filters stop large page creations, page wipes etc.

Up to 12 edits, mostly all minor ones, and still cannot create content. I'm providing this mostly as feedback as it looks like someone is rapidly taking care of the things I originally wanted to add.
Also, not to derail this thread but can you change the name of a file without having to delete and re-upload it? The Witch Doctor skill image files all have Icon attached to the end of them and this doesn't jive with what the D3 Skills template is expecting.

Yes, but in this case that seems rather redundant since the necromancer is a character from D2 and doesn't use the same skill template

I'm assuming it would be at the bottom of the page and look similar to the edit box I've been using to edit pages? I don't see anything similar to that. It looks just like the screen shot I posted for Diablo 8 except it says Tyrannosaurus.

Oops, I meant Witch Doctor, not Necromancer. There is an extra Icon at the end of the Witch Doctor's skill images that the D3 Template doesn't like. I couldn't figure how to edit the file name.
Edit: Also, in case it makes any difference I am in group Users. I mention this in case the groups have changed but not the script that assigns new wiki members into a group.

Then it must mean you're not yet autoconfirmed. I have no idea what our autoconfirmed settings are, but if they're the same as wikipedia it's four days since the first edit and 10 edits total before you're added to it. Which should be tomorrow for you I believe?

Pages are moved by hovering over the small arrow to the left of the search bar. That should be possible for you to do without being autoconfirmed.
EDIT: I just checked, and it's not just the WD images that are named such. The Icon name is a proper name btw, so it's likely the template should be changed. I'll do that later though.

Okay, I'll let you know if anything changes tomorrow.
As for the image names I thought that was maybe the case and was going to change the template but then I checked the other classes. Both Barbarian and Wizard don't use the Icon addition. So if you change the template they will need to be updated.

All the new ones I uploaded should have "Icon" appended...I think that only applies to passives for Barb and Wiz though. Aside from the Barb (which doesn't have "Icon" appended) and WD (which does), I think most of the icons we have uploaded for active skills are old ones. Should be able to get good icons for everything now with the skill calc going up though!

Be sure to reply back. If it doesn't work tomorrow (after 96 hours have passed mind you, not just the data switched). I hope it does work though.
Checked in today and I am now in the Autoconfirmed users group and can create pages. Haven't tried uploading anything yet but doubt that will be a problem.
Thanks for all the help and hope I can contribute more going forward.

I just created this fake page: Diablo_4
Here's how I did it:
