We have linked many different tools and spreadsheets that can be used to calculate your dps. However, some of you want something more basic, and want to understand the math yourselves. zrave takes the time to explain how to get near perfect DPS calculations. He does point out one extra step in the comments needed if you want to reduce rounding errors.
When a weapon has attack speed bonus, if you want exact results you need to calculate the attacks per second manually. If the weapon has 10% attack speed bonus, you multiply the above number by 1.1 for a 10% increase. So for example a polearm with 10% attack speed bonus has attack speed 1.045, not 1.04 as shown in game.
Many players are waiting for the big 1.0.4 for many reasons. One of those reasons being the massive class changes coming in the patch. Bashiok replies on twitter about the Witch Docotor. Keep in mind, we should be seeing a developer blog on the class changes at some point in the future.
As a reminder, the Trading forum is here to provide a place where players can post “want to sell” (WTS), “want to buy” (WTB), or “price check” threads for their Diablo III loot. Threads of this nature posted outside of the Trading forum may be removed without notice, and may result in a suspension if the post violates Code of Conduct or forum-posting guidelines.
In addition, threads discussing exchanging loot for real money outside of the in-game real-money auction house are not permitted in the Trading forum and may be removed without notice and/or result in a suspension.
With the previously released Diablo games, the widespread use of third-party services for real-money transactions led to countless issues that heavily impacted our customer service efforts and negatively affected the Diablo gaming experience for players. We created the real-money auction to provide players with an officially sanctioned, fully integrated environment in which to make real-money trades. While no system is perfect, having a convenient, fully in-game method for these types of transactions should help players avoid the types of issues associated with third-party trading that have in the past led to bad experiences for players. As such, it’s the only Blizzard-approved place for transactions of this nature. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
Today at Comic-Con, we were excited to reveal the newest Sideshow Collectibles statue. A true embodiment of terror, Diablo stands as The Prime Evil in a scene reminiscent of the final moments of the game. Sculpted by Brian Fay (who also sculpted the Lich King statue), Diablo stands at a terrifying 22 inches of polystone.
Sideshow Collectibles is holding a giveaway at their site for the chance for one lucky winner to receive this Diablo statue. Be sure to enter before August 12!
Check out the preview images below, and keep an eye out for future updates on pre-ordering this amazing piece of work!
Picking out the appropriate desktop wallpaper to fit your tastes and complement your décor can be an arduous task. To that end, we'll be offering you help every Friday (...roughly) by featuring a new downloadable Diablo III, StarCraft II or World of Warcraft wallpaper image on our community sites.
Here's what we have for you this week. Enjoy!
The Diamond Gate - Time-lapse Minecraft Video
SleepyTryHards has made an interesting time-lapse Minecraft video of the creation of the Diamond Gate.
Man I saw "Class Buffs in 1.0.4" as part of an RSS feed only to come here and find out there was nothing of substance. What a jip. Why is Blizzard always so quick to nerf but so slow to buff?

Yeah if this was the case, it should have atleast had a more "universal" voice so to speak
Last I checked Diablo used a female host this time around.
Ha. Bagstone.
Lol so true xD if I had no idea about either and you told me that was a model of the "Queen of Blades" I'd believe you
I know that. Doesn't change the fact that Diablo is still considered a male demon. =P
