With the #D3 beta ending tonight at 3am, what do you plan to do for the two weeks leading to May 15? #FeelsLikeanEternity (Source)
Inferno Unbeaten By Internal Test Team
Inferno mode has been added to give us an even harder challenge in Diablo III. But just how hard is this difficulty?
Rune Graphic Colors Please make the runes different colors.
coloring them implied categories of function that did not exist. Many people found this very confusing in internal tests. (Source)
Ladders With no ladder resets, don't you think the replayability will be crippled in a few months due to abundance of epic gear?
If/When this problem occurs we'll address it. Its a long way off, let's enjoy release. but when it does happen I'd rather not solve it with a system that arbitrarily insists everyone re-roll there characters. (Source)
Low HP Toggle Hey Jay, while you're answering Diablo 3 questions -- any chance that we can get a toggle option for the low hp "red alert"?
not likely. If we added every option requested we'd have hundreds and the options screen would be impossible to navigate. (Source)
Soon
Ok folks, officially overwhelmed with questions. It will be out soon and all will be revealed. (Source)
Portrait of a Champion Contest Closed
Blizzard's art contest to draw one of the heroes is now closed for submissions. Many of our own members entered into the contest. You can see some of the entries below the blue post. If you have one of your own, please feel free to share it with the rest of the community.
The Portrait of a Champion contest has drawn to a close. Thank you to everyone who submitted original artwork depicting the barbarian, demon hunter, monk, witch doctor, and wizard! Your talent and creativity have served Santcuary well.
Winners will be announced following the release of Diablo III on May 15. Stay tuned for the results, and be sure to check out the contest gallery in the meantime to "Like" your favorite pieces!

"..." was my reply as well. The fact that they are NOT colored is what makes them confusing atm.
I miss being able to say "Oh yeah, Bash with Crimson" or "Frost Nova with Indigo" and poeple knew right away..
Now its "Bash with... w/e that rune spell name is or Rune with the funky twist at the top"
D3 BETA was the most awfull thing, im still waiting for the final game.
By the way Blizzard are losing a lot of quality in gameplay, SCBW was brilliant demanding game that did KOREA the capital of "E-SPORTS" they change the vision of videogames....SC2 its OK too easy even for casual-noob players they still have time to fix this with HOTS or next expansion, Diablo2 was epic with his original colors, gothic STYLE, gore...D3 looks like another OK but not impressed, there are lot of games with that shinny shitty color style,....ppl need to be more demanding with blizz new games, remember one game StarCraft did in SOUTH KOREA...if your pleased with D3 Beta gameplay style you are mediocre!! who never playhard scbw or d2
You know it's going to be fun when not even Blizzards testers have beaten Inferno yet. Either they were not lying about Inferno, or their testers are bad, most likely the earlier.
It's weird. I'm starting to wonder if Inferno will actually be worth what's sounding like the abysmal slow and difficult (read: frustrating kind of difficult, not "overcoming a good challenge" difficult) process of getting through it. It seems like the strategy will boil down to, get as far as you can, getting any upgrades you can, then start over (or earlier), and try to progress further than you got before - repeat to infinity. But, what is the tradeoff for dying repeatedly? One piece of gear per 50, 100, more deaths (just spitballin' numbers)? And, will the gear be absolutely that much better? It's obviously not for everyone - I definitely want to attempt it, but I'm beginning to think that neither I nor my patience will last very long.

Farm easier content and buy better gear on the AH and you'll be able to progress through Inferno with less deaths if the traditional method is too frustrating for you.
haha. he answered 3 questions and became overwhelmed.
Haha yeah.
And SIIIGHHH at the canned response for UI options. If that's the issue, give us an ini file with a complete list of options to turn anything in the UI off and so many people will be happy to go edit that file and turn off stupid annoying things. The "friendly UI" can remain untouched because those people don't care about the more advanced options anyway.

I couldn't agree more, Duck. Oh well, the game will still be epic. -shrug-

I make sure people go to jail. The only thing more fun is Diablo 3.
beta was fun!
Cannot wait for may 15th.
Hope Inferno is as difficult as they picture it, that they will not nerf it and that there will never be a "ladder reset" (otherwise they should provide a "single player" option for slow players like me)

@xMantasx People crying about stuff they havnt seen yet is like half of all posts on the beta forums. The only explanation i have for this is that WoW players have become accustomed to using their tears as ammo to influence changes in a game they subscribe to, kinda like majority share holders influencing a company. They've got to appease them in some way. But nobody's subscribing to D3, and their tears shall be swept aside, and not a fuck shall be given.

Oh yeah? To me, it sounds like they made it too hard which is also not fun. It's a fine line between making something that is difficult but beatable with skill and simply not beatable. It's not fun if you walk into Inferno and get 1 shot. Any unskilled company can make a difficulty that simply isn't beatable. It takes skill to design something that is difficult and takes skill to defeat. Back in WoW, Cthun used to be mathamatically impossible. I'm sorry but that's not fun. I really hope that quote was a lie. How can you balance a difficulty that no one has ever defeated?

Let's wait!
Are you kidding me?!
I played D2 for years and SC and I loved D3. I think you sir have a different opinion than most of the people here.
edit: changed to happy face
