Wowbox is fantastic, just because they keep old stuff (which they guy tells you) they update stuff faster, I like them a lot. they were the first as well.
They weren't first (if you knew where to look), but they were certainly among the first.
Still not sure how they are getting the MPQs before they are available for download unless the Asia servers got patched before the US ones.
As for the affix changes, many of them are just replacing the old stats with the new ones. For example, the "Feral" prefix was used for PrecVit I - PrecVit IV and is now used for DexVit I - DexVit IX.
The skill affixes were there before, but now they go up to skill level 8 rather than just level 3. Some were also renamed, for example "Skill Barbarian HammeroftheAncients" to "Skill_Barbarian_HotA" (although that might be from the patch prior since I did not look at those changes since they were so minor).

I love how Bashiok writes: "The patch is technically public, just not enabled in the game launcher" and "Our patch clients are always available before the patch is officially released, if you know where to look." But then doesn't bother to say where that is. In other words: "if you're already into our secret club, then gratz, otherwise gtfo".
I don't really see the sloppy mess, to be perfectly honest. Seems about the same, with more stops in town now. I like these changes, and with no context for hydra, having never played the game in beta or otherwise, I can't complain about it.
I get that they don't want us to be picking up all the items to salvage so I understand making white items unsalvageable. But in that case, just remove the cauldron of jordon so we don't pick them up to sell and let us keep the Nephalim cube to salvage magic gear we don't want. If drop rates are similar to D2 in later stages, magic items will be pretty norm by then and gameplay will be interrupted cus we'll be going back constantly to salvage them.
You think the game's gonna be "perfectly fine" forever and there is no need for patching? And why is the game suddenly a sloppy mess compared to the last build?
Maybe he's just a Blizzard employee... or some crazy datamining hacker.
The second choice.

Oh I see, thanks for the clarification!
I'm just so curious to know what the skill/rune changes that Jay hinted about are :P.
