Awesome spreadsheet, just what I was looking for! Small sidenote, a lot of the hardcore wizards are using EA+Prismatic rune instead of force armor. Generally cause they stack a lot more hp than most others. Is there any intention to possibly add this to the display/calculations?
Yes, that is definitely something I've been thinking of adding. The only reason I haven't already is because I haven't tried using a build with Prismatic Armor yet. When I have time I also want to add options for the Enchantress and Scoundrel to show their impact on dps and EHP.
Very nice, I'd love to see it. Also one other minor suggestion to make the spreadsheet all encompassing would be on the equipped comparison tab to include DPS change without GC (as in Hardcore having GC is like having a timebomb in your pocket haha). On my own copy I've actually added an "actual hp" change as well instead of JUST EHP. I did this because I like to see the direct tangible changes as well as the "effective" changes in gear choices. All in all though man you did an amazing job. If you need any help or testing just let me know.
(PS you saved me a ton of work doing my own manually!)

Yes, I can add an option to include GC in the dps calcs or not when comparing items. If I have time I'll do that this weekend.
Ive tried a lot of spreadsheets and your one works the best for me - great work!
One quick question though.... an earlier version calculated my DPS perfectly but the newest version is off by quite a bit (actual DPS is 22096 but new spreadsheet calculates it as 20805).
I noticed that the 'relative DPS' row on the 'equipped items' sheet (row 28) is calculating different values now.... just wanted to understand why?
why does changing the 'weapon +attack speed' stat in the 'equipped comparison' area change the dps difference when the weapon speed stays constant. I assume we are not suppose to enter the attack speed % modifier on the weapon into the 'weapon +attack speed' slot?

You are supposed to enter the attack speed % modifier of the weapon into that slot when comparing weapons, that's why it's there.
The reason the dps changes is because I use the weapon speed and the +attack speed to back calculate the base weapon speed. I then use that base speed and the weapon IAS to compute the actual weapon speed, whereas the weapon speed displayed on the tooltip is rounded to 2 decimals, but the exact value is used in DPS calculations in game, from what I have seen. If you change the +AS you will see a dps difference because it will calculate a new actual weapon speed.
//Edit: the 'Equiped items' full calculator makes the same mistake
//Edit 2: I've removed offhand and the damage ring and now it shows the numbers seem are equal
Looks like the problematic part is the xx-yy damage on offhand and ring...
//Edit 3: The ring is the culprit. It's a plain 11-23 damage + 13% asi ring. No problem with the offhand, but when I equip the ring, I'm getting wrong numbers.

Let me look into this and get back to you. I'm getting the same dps of 44553.60 with those stats you show. Just to be sure, do you have any follower active? I guess not if the numbers match without the ring but just want to be sure. My best guess at the moment is the game treats rings with +damage different than I am trying to calculate, so I'm going to test it.
The spreadsheet seems to be working for me when swapping in and out +damage rings, OHs, or anything else I can think of. Can you post the numbers you're seeing without the ring, when the spreadsheet matches, and when you have everything equipped can you check your char sheet to be sure your "Attacks per Second" value matches the spreadsheet "Mod AS" box? And if possible take a screenshot of your DN with details tab in game so I can look over the numbers?
After a little trial and error I found a way to obtain your expected dps: increase the bonus damage by a total of 18 between max/min, so +18 min damage works, +18 max damage, +9 to each, etc. Does your ring just say +11-23 Damage, Attack Speed Increased by 13%?
It would be VERY cool to make some cross-sheet links. What I mean is something like that:
On sheet 1 we input all of our items (basically the current 'equipped items' sheet)
On other sheets, including various compare stuff, there are links to the corresponding fields from the first sheet that take our stats so we don't have to retype them everywhere.

Would be VERY sweet.
I'll take a look at those screen shots and see if i can figure out what's going on. As for the cross sheet links, you only really have to enter your item stats once. If you use the main tab, you just enter the basic info. If you use the equipment comparison tab, you have to enter each item in the equipped item tab, but that's it. If there's any confusion, the "Equipment Comparison" tab compares item stats you put into the table to what you put under your "Equipped Item" tab for that slot. I have 2 columns for each slot so that you can enter a couple different items and maybe keep the best while comparing to other new items. I personally recommend using both Main and "Equipped Item" tabs just to make sure the numbers match, though the EHP might be slightly off if you have GC active when entering the resists and armor on the main page.
I honestly have no idea what's going on. If you put on a ring with no dps, what dps gain does the in game tooltip display for it? Based on the displayed DM with it equipped I would expect it to say around 5400 while my spreadsheet says 4902. I just read a post in the theorycrafting section where someone had 2 items with identical stats yet they gave different DPS values, so I'm wondering if there might be some kind of tooltip error with the ring and it in fact is more like a +17-35 ring, because that's what my spreadsheet is saying. Are you seeing any errors with other rings?
Added a box in the "Equipped Items" tab where you can indicate if you have Glass Cannon active or not. I added extra boxes in the item comparison area to include DPS based on your GC choice, as well as one showing the GC dps. If you indicate you have glass cannon on in the equipment tab, those two dps values should be the same. I could just remove the DPS WITH GC box but figured there's no harm in leaving it there on the offchance someone isn't using GC currently and is curious what the dps numbers would look like with it there.
I also added an UPDATE tab where I plan to start listing the updates I make to the spreadsheet, so people can find out if they have the most current version or not.

Great job with this update man. Only other addition I can think of is the addition of prismatic rune in EA. Whatcha think?
Because of the recent patch I decided to make a couple updates that are listed below. Next on the agenda is to include functionality for Prismatic Armor since the Inferno damage nerf makes it more appealing to try to use and people are likely using it for HC mode. I hope to have that update done in the next couple days.
I still have follower dps/EHP contributions planned for the near future

Removed extra DPS with GC boxes and instead added options to specify if you're using Magic Weapon with or without Force Weapon rune, GC, and/or Familiar+flintspark in "Equipped Items" tab. Please note that the functionality isn't "smart" so you can say you have FW rune without the magic weapon skill and it will add the 5% damage from the FW rune
Also added DPS and EHP values to Equipped Comparison tab on the far right for easy comparison if you wanted to know your base DPS and/or EHP
Updated the EHP threshhold tables based on new information after patch 1.0.3 reduced mob damage in Inferno. The information was provided by Morphos in the thread that can be found below
While I was at it I decided to include an option for Energy Armor and Prismatic Armor on the "Equipped Items" tab. Because adding Prismatic armor means several combinations of FA, PA, and/or GC, I decided to just use one EHP value for the "Equipped Items" tab which is the EHP based on the buffs the user inputs. If you want to see how much EHP you gain or lose from a buff just turn it on, note the EHP, then turn it off, and compare. The "Main" tab still includes the EHP with FA with and without GC.

They're calculating different DPS because you put in different belts and one doesn't have a second ring.
The "Relative DPS" is going to be highly dependent on your overall gear since dps gain is somewhat exponential in some stats.

I've double-checked everything, you can try it yourself:
389-711 / +24% as / 1.74 aps --- weapon
98-385 + 11-23 damage (oh+ring)
15+15+13 attack speed
1765 int
7 crit
50 critdmg
15 bonus dmg

Still great job mate, very useful indeed, I'm quite immersed in comparing stuff with possible upgrades @ AH.
