BlizzCon 2011 was announced back in early February, and today Blizzard has released the information behind ticket sales... Physical Tickets for this years' convention are $175 and will be going on sale in two batches, one on Saturday, May 21st at 10AM PST, and the other on Wednesday, May 25 at 7PM PST. Virtual Tickets from DirecTV will be $39.99 this year, as usual, with no sale date released just yet. You can also get a Charity Tickets for $500 on Saturday, May 28 at 10AM PST, which grants you access to a dinner with key Blizzard employees, some cool art swag, and BlizzCon itself.
Blizzard has also released this years BlizzCon "community" site, with some information for those of you who may be new to BlizzCon, so I recommend checking that out. In addition, the World Of Warcraft BlizzCon Forums and the Starcraft II BlizzCon Forums have gone live as well... No D3 BlizzCon Forums, :(. However, the logo they're using has the Diablo 3 logo in the center, maybe that means something for us?
Stay tuned for more information regarding future BlizzCon updates, such as the schedule and goodies that can be bought there. If you want to check out our coverage from BlizzCon 2010, see our BlizzCon hub.
I demand Diablo get its own live official forum! :verymad: :thanks:
Chances are I won't be going.. For I'd love to but for $175 I could buy a nice sound card for my PC.
Edit: Sooo I just checked out the official Blizzcon site and noticed how Diablo is front and center in the line up of WoW, Diablo, and SC.. Very interesting :geek:

Hoping it comes out just after Blizzcon. Thanksgiving week would be nice. It would make sense to have D3 be the focus if it's releasing soon. Blizzcon '10 mainly featured Cataclysm, and it released a month later.

Yes, hopefully during beta like they did for Starcraft 2.
If i get a job, i'll buy myself a ticket
and just pay for airfare and hotel myself but if i don't, like last year, I will buy the virtual ticket and do a live update thread with massive detail on everything that happens for those that can't get into the Dfans chat channel. This time i will try to use a capture card and get high quality images of everything.

Tickets go out of stock so quickly because there a thousands and thousands of people lining up to buy them, and only a couple thousand can go.

for one you wont be able to buy and resell to make a profit as when you buy them you have to put full details in and if you read you need proof of id to get the badge to get into to convention...
and about live streaming.. if some one buys one ticket and then streams there computer it would save alot of diablo fans money =] just a idea.
i was thinking of the onsite one supposed to be coming
Although i doubt it matters much at least during blizzcon cuz dont people use some program to livechat with some reps or people going anyway?

signup when live streaming begins start and post on here...
Rather you should ask yourself-
Why are there only the WoW and Starcraft forums next to 'Discuss BlizzCon on our community forums'.
To answer your question though, the logic is quite simple. Diablo logo is infinitely more badass-looking than the 2 others.

Just a gut feeling...
I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
I hope that we'll see the Beta in May or June.
