Uses the full Armor of Akkhan 6 piece set (7 if using the necklace piece) with a Diamond in the Helm, all Rubies in the Torso and all Rubies in the Legs for offense or all Diamonds for defense. All cooldown reduction bonuses on all possible gear pieces is a priority to keep Akarat's Champion up as much as possible, along with Maximum Wrath for a larger pool for using Condemn.

Legendary Gems are for maximizing the damage radius around the Crusader, Bane of the Trapped granting a Slow effect on its own and proccing off the Blind effects of Shield Glare for more damage, Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard adding more healing and granting health shielding, and as this is one of the few Crusader builds not to focus on blocking, it gets full use of Gogok for dodge chance, attack speed and cooldown reduction. As it is a burst damage build it won't get as much use of the likes of Bane of the Stricken, though Bane of the Powerful is a semi-plausible alternative for Rifts.

For Amulets, Hellfire Amulets work best with the build, though Ess of Johan is a good alternative however for use of grouping up enemies for Condemn and works well with Bane of the Trapped in that regard. Talisman of Akkhan is an alternative if using different armor pieces for the maximum set bonus. For Rings, Unity for better damage reduction is always a plus, and Eternal Union makes uses of Phalanx more worthwhile by tripling the duration. Stone of Jordan for more Wrath regeneration wouldn't hurt either however.

For Bracers, Nemesis Bracers are best for speed-running Rifts and Krelm's Buff Bracers for Stun and Knockback immunity.

For Belts, Belt of the Trove grants a secondary attack option automatically for the Crusader via the timed Bombardment attacks and it is worth noting that the automatic Bombardments do benefit from the 6 piece damage bonus, whereas Witching Hour grants all around improved offensive and defensive power. Krelms Buff Belt for the movement speed boost is a good choice if using Krelm's Buff Bracers for the Vitality boost set bonus.

Paragon of 1000 or above is required to push past T13/GR65 range, main focus being on Maximum Wrath pool for casting Condemn, boosted Strength for damage and Armor, Vitality for life total and Movement Speed to facilitate speed-running.

Cooldown Reduction is the most important secondary aspect to the build to keep Akarat's Champion active as often as possible, then Attack Speed to facilitate damage dealing along with Critical Hit Chance and Damage for improving said damage dealing.

Life Regeration, Resist All, Armor and then total Life for defensive stat priorities.

Resource Cost Reduction for better Wrath expenditure, Area Damage to improve Condemn overlap, and Life on Hit for healing. Gold Find isn't applicable to the build.

Build Guide

This build has been tested in 2.6.1 on PS4 and PC.

The build is a high speed burst damage type, mostly hit and run to deal with mobs and rapidly spamming to handle bosses. The build focuses on Condemn with the Unleashed rune for instant area damage, and paired with Blade of the Prophecy boosts the skill damage and can chain to two other enemies for other simultaneous detonations that can easily overlap onto other nearby enemies, essentially making for three blasts at the cost of one. Frydehr's Wrath boosts the damage even further and eliminates the cooldown on the skill for the cost of 40 Wrath per use, making the skill spammable to deal with bosses and elite packs.

The other skills go about supporting this, mainly the Laws of Valor with the Unstoppable Force rune to cut Wrath costs by 50% for 5 seconds. Paired with the Akkhan's 2 piece bonus to cut all skill costs by 50% when Akarat's Champion is active and it takes the 40 Wrath cost down to a measly 10 Wrath instead. Akarat's Champion itself uses the Rally rune to shave 12 seconds off all skill cooldowns when activated to keep this and the other skills going at full speed atop the 35% damage boost and 5 Wrath per second regeneration, the cooldown for it cut in half by the Akkhan's 4 piece bonus and the 6 piece bonus adding another 1500% damage and granting 50% damage reduction while active. This makes it the main source of damage boosting for the build and secondary Wrath regeneration.

The build's main Wrath regeneration comes from Provoke with the Cleanse rune and Shield Glare with the Zealous Glare rune. Provoke Taunts surrounding enemies while regenerating up to 30 Wrath, with 5 extra regenerated for every enemy Taunted, the Cleanse rune granting 1073 Life on Hit per enemy Taunted for improved healing. Shield Glare Blinds all enemies within a 30 yard cone in front of the Crusader for 4 seconds, and Zealous Glare grants 9 Wrath per enemy Blinded, both filling defensive functions atop their Wrath regeneration and Shield Glare also procs Bane of the Trapped for greater damage to enemies when Blinded.

Phalanx with the Bodyguard rune rounds out for another source of damage and the only other Wrath spender for the build, summoning two Avatars for 10 seconds that each deal hits to nearby enemies for 10 seconds, each dealing 560% weapon damage per hit as Physical. They also benefit from the Akkhan's 6 piece bonus, so deal an additional 1500% damage when its active, making it a good additional source of damage for the build, and if using Eternal Union as a Ring choice, makes them last 30 seconds instead of 10 to match the skill's own cooldown duration, meaning well timed casts will keep the Avatar's active at nearly all times.

The Cubed items help support and speed this all up enormously. Akkhan's Addendum grants Akarat's Champion the Prophet and Embodiment of Power runes to go with the Rally rune, granting 150% additional Armor for the duration and healing to full health from fatal damage once every activation of Akarat's Champion, and boosting the Wrath regeneration from 5 per second to 10 per second, greatly boosting offensive and defensive power for the skill and the build overall. Leoric's Crown doubles the effects of the Diamond in the Helm of Akkhan for even more cooldown reduction , and then Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac grants even more by shaving off a second from any one cooldown when expending Wrath. Altogether with any other cooldown reduction, this should keep the build in Akarat's Champion at nearly all times and have perpetually summoned Phalanx Avatars.

For the passives, Finery grants 1.5% Strength for every gem socketed into the Crusader's equipment, with 11 possible socket options making for a 16.5% Strength boost in total (1 in the Helm, 3 in the Torso, 2 in the Legs, and 1 for a weapon, 1 for a shield, 1 for a necklace and 2 for the rings). Heavenly Strength allows use of a two-handed weapon together with a shield at the cost of a 20% damage reduction, mitigated by a 10% damage bonus from Holy Cause, along with granting 1% healing of Life total from dealing Holy damage via Condemn. Long Arm of the Law extends the Laws of Valor by 5 seconds, though Indestructible acts another 'get out of death free' card once every 60 seconds and boosts damage by another 35% along with improved Life on Kill, either in place of Long Arm of the Law or added via Hellfire Amulet

The build is strictly a solo build due to how all the skills simply reinforce it's own damage dealing and defensive abilities, thus it isn't really suited for group play.
